Also Buchannan probally was our only player that tried against Richmond

So not only has Voss crippled your club by recycling hacks, he can't motivate the team either :o

You'd think a team full of blokes that'd been sacked by their old clubs would have a point to prove, the problems up there must be bigger than we realise :thumbsd:

Apart from Brown, Judd is better than any of them.

Black has played more games than Judd in 2010.

Clarke is a spud.

Polkinghorne isn't a patch on Yarran.

Bower, Mclean, Walker, Waite and Yarran would get a game with Brisbane on their ears.

More talented than Rockliff and Buchanan.

I think Power hasn't fired this year.
That is exactly why Polkinghorne got 29 possies and was in the high 20's for possesion numbers before getting injured. Also Black is older and probally has the same amount of importance to our side than Judd does to yours. However I would say that with our injured players compare them to what it would look like if your same players were out for the same amount of weeks we would see something like this

Brown= Judd
Black= Murphy
Maguire= Thorton
Merrett= Waite
McGrath=Joseph
Adcock= Russell
Drummond= The best kick in your team but also has a great impact
Polkinghorne= Mclean( Polkinghorne has been playing better this year though out of the 2)
Charman= Warnock
Clarke= Johnson but in fairness Clarke hasn't played a game yet!
Bartlett= Lucas
Golby= ( far out I forget his name but your 1st rookie pick or maybe he was your second:confused:)
Buchannan= Walker

Take all those players out of Carltons team and remember that if all those players had the same injury's.

Judd would be out for 5 or 6 weeks

Murphy for 1

Thorton for 6 weeks

Waite for 7 weeks

Joseph for 3

Russell for 7 weeks and counting. Adcock not expected back for another 6 or 7 weeks taking that tally to 13 or 14.

The best kick on your team and also top 8 in your best and fairest, work that out and say season. If you can't find anyone you musn't have enough depth;)( just joking)

Mclean for 4 weeks but he has already missed more

Warnock season not that he has been playing anyway

Johnson about 18 weeks by the time Clarke will be back into the senior side.

Lucas season

your 1st or second rookie pick would also be gone for the season.

Walker 5 weeks

P.S. I rekon one of the best kicks on your team and if you rate the importance of Gibbs to your team and Drummond to ours I would say that, that is a fair comparison! So therefore that would mean Gibbs also gone for season. However Drummond had LARS which means he could possibly be back playing seniors by rounds 20 to 22!

You recruited both Clarke & Maguire knowing they were injury prone (Maguire was looked at by both Carlton & Hawthorn during the off-season but was considered too big a risk by both teams).

Charman would not be in your best 22 these days & was not a member of the team that won the first 4 games of the season. Black has missed 2 games for the season (not consecutively), with him missing the most recent game with a virus.

The loss of Brown, Drummond & Adcock certainly would hurt, but so does losing 3 of your KP options i.e. Bower, Walker & Waite.

Polkinghorne is a good young kid, who impresses me far more than Redden & Rich, but he has only played 32 games, so is not yet a key member of the Lions' team & he has more than adequately been covered for by Rockliff.

The reality is Voss adopted a now or never attitude, but went about it the wrong way in recruiting Clarke, Maguire, Raines & Buchanan (much like our recruiting in the late '90s & early '00s, when our administration overrated where our list was at) & burning Bradshaw in the process.
Fair enough but Maguire was in the top 3 best CHB of the season and one of the great finds before injury struck him down however it was a totally different injury to the ones before and he was very unlucky.

Another one that talks shit.

Polkinghorne has accumulated 20+ disposals twice this season.

Once in his first game of the season and once in round 8 against Geelong.

He got injured in round 10.

McLean has been better than Polkinghorne.

I like Polkinghorne so I've seen most of his games (unfortunately I've had to watch Brisbane in the process of doing so) but McLean, much maligned as he is, has been far better.

Only make those sort of calls if you've watched McLean play which it is clear you haven't.

Maybe you have for 1 game against your mob.

Some of your comparisons are laughable.

It doesn't matter what the injury/suspension is. A missed game is a missed game.

Stop whinging.

Every team has injuries and misses players for games throughout the season.

The Lions have poor depth.

We've missed Walker, Murphy, Judd, McLean, Johnson, Yarran, Robinson, Fisher, O'hAilpin, Bower, O'Keefe, Hampson, Lucas, Armfield, Waite, Thornton and White for games this season. Kreuzer now gone as well.

Yet we are still in the 8 whilst your team is drowning and lost to Richmond at home.

Kerr has not played a good 4 quarter game in 3 years.
Sounds like a perfect fit.

We'd be lucky to have a handful of players that have played well for a whole game. We are extremely inconsistent and usually when we win, we have an average quarter in there somewhere.

Fair enough mate you have your opinions I have mine. I have only watched Mclean 4 times this year so you are right I havent watched him in that many games.

Sorry I got my Polinghorne numbers mixed up with Rockliff but I do remember Polks gathering 29 possies in one game. Brisbane probally do have poor depth and sure you have had alot of players out but not all at the same time. We virtually have our whole backline out bar Merrett and Patful. Also IMO it is that we don't nescersarily have poor depth it is just we don't have depth beyond our good depth because we have had so many injuries to so many key players at the same time that

1. it is hard to gel as a team

and

2. it is hard to play well when players that really lift your team are out like Brown, Black, Drummond and McGrath.

Anyway cheers mate and you guys can get back to talking about Kerr;):p

This is what i'm saying i'm not stupid to give away a pick near top 10 or 20 for him or a valuable player.I'm saying if it cost a player who is most likely to be delisted in a few seasons and a later pick why not if he pass all tests.

Are you a serious? A D grade player and a 'later pick' LOL.

Danier Kerr is every bit worth a top 10 pick let alone a top 20 pick. All you have to do is watch the game againts Port Adelaide last year where he ran Kane Cornes and Cassissi off the ground. Was BOG by an absolute mile. Shows what he can do even with the number one tag.

He isnt protected at WCE as the team just isnt good/experienced enough to realise what they need to do. If he was at Collingwood or Geelong, we would be talking about him as a champion. Would fit very well into the Carlton setup and I feel Murphy may even attract a tag over him. Cant go tagging two A Grade inside mids can you?

You would have to give an up and coming \Mid as well as your first pick IMO and even that may not be enough considering the pic will be in the mid/highish teens.

Maybe Grigg + 1st rounder would be my thoughts.

Remember which board you are on.

Personal attacks are not on !!!!!!!!!!

BTW your thoughts do not count on this board.

I have a more realistic opinion than half the people on this board. :o

Your opinion is irrelevant and you have NO right whatsoever to come onto an opposition board & call someone a "moron" :rolleyes:

Better stick to your own board & Bay 13 !!!!!!!!!!

Any why is my opinion irrelivant Aphrodite?
Do you disagree with my views?

I keep the bay, in the bay.
