i think we'd be really lucky to get a top ten pick. Freo would be a pretty good fit for him if we traded... something like there 1st pick and 3rd round/player

I would only trade him for either a good 22 player and a late first rounder or for 1 of GC's first 3 picks.

The best we would get is a late 1st rounder or early 2nd

I know he's pretty much your best player but come on, he's done next to nothing for 3 years and won't be around when your team is contesting the cup. You will not get a top 3 pick. You would've if he'd been traded at the same time as Judd but his value has gone into freefall.

You are 100% in this assessment & I'm a big Kerr fan.

You forget that he is contracted for the next three years and that West Coast will be perfectly happy if he is not traded.

West Coast can ask for whatever they want.

It'll be West Coast's biggest disservice to hold onto him.

He's 28 next year, has played < 30 games in 3 years and if everything moves perfectly into place for West Coast they'll win a premiership in 3-4 years, well past Kerr's use-by-date.

Get something for him while you can I reckon.

I've mentioned it before, don't be surprised to see Kerr retire by the end of next season. His body is pretty well shot!

You are joking right? I doubt will be move from the bottom of ladder next year ( spoon no.2), will be surprised if we win 4 games, let alone in premiership contention in 3-4, we are full of spuds. maybe 4-8. At best will be finge 8 in 3-4 much like carlton, essendon of the past few years. This playing group is average at best. 2c

If Kerr plays 20 games you think we will win the spoon?

Trade him for a pick to use on Darling. 9 or 11 ish

It does show that WA footballers travelling dont have the longevity of the players at the non travelling clubs & it will be the AFLPA who enforce changes to reflect a notso-level playing field.
Too hard for the AFL.

Leading the hard ball gets does take a toll.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Darling were still available at your priority selection. No need to trade Kerr to get him.

Besides, I doubt GC would be interested as they seem more than happy with the 8 established players they've already signed.

but in saying that freo surprised everyone this year, but our kids are no where near as good as theirs,

maybe 14-16, realistically what clubs are we likely to beat, IMO i honestly can't see us progressing too far up the ladder,

I wouldn't be suprised to see you finish around 9-12th.
Sometimes teams need to take a step backwards in order to take a step forward. And that is what I think WC did this year

Trade Week Radio is reporting that Kerr could be involved in a deal with Carlton's Andrew Walker. It would see Walker and Pick 36 head to West Coast for Daniel Kerr.

Heard that aswell, Hope he doesn't go as he is contracted, But if they do decide to trade him, I would put our priority pick with kerr and ask for walker and Carlton's first round pick.

His manager laughed at it. I expect the Eagles would have too.
