Injury Daniel Menzel - second ruptured ACL

GEELONG has confirmed that forward Daniel Menzel has suffered another serious knee injury in his return match from the cruciate ligament tear he suffered late in the 2011 season.

But the latest injury is to his left knee, whereas he injured his right knee last year.

Looks like confirmation that Daniel Menzel has torn ACL in right knee. Incredibly sad news but he will bounce back.

I friggin said it at xmas that he was too far ahead in his rehab.
Yep it's the other knee.

But for gods sake there is 20 years of history on how long it takes to come back from an ACL.

Bloody stupid by club and player.

Problem is as he may have come back quicker than expected as a few of you guys have said its VERY easy to do the other knee, prismall did a very similar thing last year.

I hope its not serious i think most of the footy world loved watching the kid play.

I was driving the 405 in LA and listening to SEn streaming on iPhone in Friday night peak hour traffic and threw up in my mouth...'

For the kids sake I hope he hasn't done the ACL in his good knee. Remember a Pies player doing his good knee after coming back from a knee recon.

Hopefully it isn't a long term injury. Fingers crossed.

Unless your an orthopedic surgeon or a highly qualified physiotherapist don't pretend to be an expert or act as though you have any idea of what you're talking about. The club hires some of the best sports doctors in the country to deal with these injuries, id back their judgement ahead of yours.
