thanks manboob for those pics.

The first one is interesting, looks like he's doing some kind of squat exercise but with the minimum amount of strain produced by body weight or general weight hammertones.

Yes...the kid is a real talent. He'd just "arrived" as a top line footballer and everyonr knew he was going to inflict real damage on opposition sides. His performances against class sides like Collingwood and Hawthorn were outstanding.

We all hope to see him taking those grabs on the MCG again really soon. :thumbsu:

I feel that Menz could have impacted the game like Selsy did.... Once he got going he just never stopped.
I'm not saying that it can't happen going forward but the bloke has got mad skills and poise...

Him beating Swan one-on-one in rd 8 2011 (setting up a goal) was amazing and definitely the moment he "arrived" for me. Rd 24 against Collingwood was an awesome display too. I love watching the highlights from that game, because him and bundy seem to be in every one :D

I really like that are young'ns are already producing such a high level of footy and professionalism - all while we still have our older stars out there. With players like Menz and Christensen we will avoid bottoming out.

If you look closely their is a TRX stap in his hands so I am guessing he is doing single leg squats holding the TRX to help balance. The 2nd exercise is most likely a single leg curl on a swiss balls which is a pretty tough exercise but good for hamstring rehab (he originally had a hamstring graft). To me that suggest he's still 3-4 months away from play. Still looks like their is a discrepancy in leg size (the left looks smaller) and generally the doctor will only give you the all clear when they are comparable in strength.

Don't like 3 or 4 months,:) I though Lars recovery was normally 3 months (from December).
I don't doubt what you say, I just don't like it.
Also the size may be at least partly photographic distortion, because his left sock/shoe are also smaller.

He was still recovering when he had this surgery so you have to add god knows how many more weeks/months.

He and Varcoe were massive losses last year and with both of them back in the side we would be so much more dangerous.

I really hope that Menz does not become the next Paul Lynch and never get to realise his massive potential.
His basicly been my fav player since his debut.

I get just tense just thinking of him, as I really hope he come out and put this horrible time behind him.

This shot from training this morning may set a few hearts fluttering.

Now I've got a bit of uncontrolled swelling in the frontal area of the pants.
Not that I mind:p

It was said he is back training with the group, so I'm wondering does that mean he's no longer part of the rehab group?

Brief interview with Menz on Channel 7 news tonight; mentioned he is back in full training and is targeting an early season VFL return. He seemed very upbeat. Can't wait until he's back out there!

It would be a massive plus if we could get him back in the side mid-season. Let's say VFL by round 4 or so and then a month there before he's ready to put his hand up for the 1sts. Going to be very nervous for the lad when he finally gets back on the field.
