He may think differently if Ablett goes there. Who wouldn't want to play along side him.

There's no difference in playing for GC or WCE, both sides are full of young players. Kerr will have to deal with it at either club. Does Kerr stick with familiarity at WC, or go for the money and lifestyle of the Gold Diggers?

Ablett and untagged Kerr midfield

If Voss is looking for a flag, he won't be trading Rich for anything, let alone Kerr. Kerr's value has dropped. He's been very poor for the past two seasons and now has a serious leg injury. He can't beat a tag either. Very questionable as to whether he can get anywhere near his best again.

The Ebert trade is interesting too. Surely he would want to return to SA if West Coast think he is expendable? Can't see him being keen to head to Brisbane and if he's going to QLD he'd probably be better off at GC getting more money.

Team dynamics would play a part in Brisbane's thinking of any potential trade for Kerr. Kerr wouldn't be the number 1 tag at Brisbane. I think Kerr can still carve up and be a match winner when he's not tagged as heavily than when he plays at present. He'll have far more freedom to do his thing at Brisbane.
Injury is what'll stop Kerr from getting back to his best. A change away from the intense pressure of being a heavily tagged champ in a plodder midfield will do wonders for showing the A grade performances he still has to give.
As for it being very questionable, it's a subjective opinion that Brisbane will have to determine.

I'm not on the get rid of Ebert bandwagon.

Id absolutely trade Kerr.. look how injury prone he has been over the past few years. Sure he is still youngish but he has played 170 games as well, thats the 4th highest at our club behind Glass, Cox and Embley. And I dont think Kerr has another 3 seasons in him unfortunately... Do you think Kerr can play 230-250 games?

McLean went for pick 11, Lovett 16, Burgoyne 9 in a weak draft. Johnsone pick 14 in a better draft... I think market value for Kerr would be between pick 8 and 12.

no one wants to go to south australia thats y they r awesome to get they never want to go back coz sa sucks. the exception to the rule is scott thompson who went from melbs to adelaide but to be fair that was from MELBOURNE.

While many were saying Kerr has little value in a trade for a draft pick, the market says differently.
Like you've stated, Burgoyne fetched pick 9 and McLean 11. Kerr is better than both of those players. I've stated previously pick 5-12.
I'd like a 5-8 for him.

I definitely want Kerr traded out at year's end. While we're building, another top prospect would be more than welcome.

Kerr hasn't had an injury free season since 2007, actually even then he was injured twice. The way he throws himself around most of the time he just gets smashed.

By the end of this year he would have only played around 30 of a possible 70 games, but some of there were due to suspension. He can't seem to stay out there for any length of time, and is getting on in age now. I still think he can be a valuable player for us, I can't see him haven't a lot of trade value though.

seriously kerr has more talent in his pinky than most of our players in our team.

And that, Sir, is a sorry assessment of the rest of the team.

You have to keep in mind that with GC and GWS entering the comp the value of draft picks is going to rocket up.

And Kerr - hard to think of him as anything but a bit washed up. When he does play, he's so indisciplined that he can't stay on the park, and he's so injury prone that his market value is far, far lower than it should be for a player of his quality.

In short, Brisbane would value the guy as an average 2nd rounder at the absolute max. Maybe a 3rd.

We'd be a million times better with Rich drilling passes to Kennedy and LeCras, rather than having A Selwood and Priddis bombing the ball in as high as possible.

Also... Rich for Kerr is a sideways trade for Voss, it wouldnt be worth the effort. Loose Rich gain Kerr is only a slight increase atm.

Are you f'ing serious?
how is that a gain for the Lions? Why would they give up Rich?

Rich: Loads of potential, excellent kick, fairly professional by all accounts.

Kerr: Currently injured, ageing body, constantly suspended, questionable off-field behaviour, massive salary cap hog.

How many disposals has Kerr got the last few weeks? None. He is literally useless to our team. In fact, worse than that because of his salary.

We've missed the boat with this one the year Rich was drafted. If we were ever going to offload Kerr that was the time to do it. Unfortunately we weren't bold enough with our decisions (which was understandable at the time) and the current state of the squad is the result.

Rich would want to have to come home to have any chance of this trade working. Brisbane would drive a very hard bargain and I doubt we can tailor to their needs. First pick in the draft + Kerr is a chance but Kerr would have to play an absolute blinding rounds 16 onward you would think.

St Kilda traded for a quick midfielder last season and may be in the market for another after losing the one they recruited however with the major failure that trade proved to be surley would be reluctant to trade another with suspention and off field dramas. mabe a pick around 20 though their first pick is likely to be around 25.
