What's one more year on a contract going to do? Nothing, his trade value would have gone after two more years so may aswell just give him the three to play out his career at the Demons.

Wardie has conducted himself very well here. It would have been easy to take a few cheap shots at the club and he has also done the right thing by his mate Godfrey, who I doubt will play at another AFL club but I will be happy to see him do so.

If Robbo leaves for a 3 year contract then so be it, but he shouldn't be whingeing to the media a few years after getting on his high horse when the Bizz did the same thing. I thought Robbo was red and blue through and through but I guess money is more important than a team giving you a chance to play AFL after they saw you on"Almost Footy Legends"...

I agree. His last 2 seasons have been screwed with his knees. How is he expecting to improve with an ageing body? He will be finished by 30 at this stage.

Well done Wardy. You were only great for one glorious day at the GABBA but you put in more than most at the club. Stay away from the TAB.

There is no doubt in my mind if i where coaching the melbourne football club ward would still be on the list. I thought his ball movement out of the backline this great was great. I have said this before but he was one of very few players this year who gave us momentum when we where down and out. Congrats wardy u have been a great servant. Hopefully u can take up a role model job at the club for young players who might be doing it tough, cause its a tough gig this AFL business.

As for godrey we all know his got a big ticker but come one guys the man cant play football at the highest level, he just isnt good enough. He is a fantastic VFL player. Top AFL clubs such as geelong and the eagles would have laughed at us if we had of kept him on at the club. Godfrey my advise to u is to go and find a local football club some where and get 1000 bucks a game get a decent signing on fee and work 3 days a week in a gym. U will be laughing.
