I actually hope that doesn't happen. Goes against a lot of the rationale of getting rid of SJ, keeps players like Cockatoo and Lang in the twos when they're good enough to get more AFL exposure.

He's an unrestricted free agent though isn't he? So the offer from another club may or may not be higher than the north offer.

Yes he is. That's what has been reported we have offered him. One of the two clubs has offered a three year deal.

I doubt that would happen - not if he comes to Geelong, anyway. It's doubtful that there would be the room for a 1.1m deal for two years for one thing, secondly it would throw things out somewhat if he came on that money but Danger &etc. were on significant unders.

As a FA I'd take him as long as his contract is not onerous. He would give us some nice run out of defence until we find a replacement.
