Wow, Kapow goes howe, I look like a cow which will disallow my sitting on a bough, with my plough, while feeding my chow, how am I here now?

I've seen Howe at the last few VFL games. He's a very classy composed player and really looks like a Hawthorn player. If he can learn more about composure from Mitchell and other mids, I think he'll make a fantastic player. Pick 31 and a year older, so they passed on him in 1st year. Go figure?

I also thiknk Teia Miles has been brilliant at the start of his career. Hopefully he gets a shot

Both of our imaginary BT comments end up with some sort of moment of clarity for BT. Are his rhymes perhaps a (vain) attempt to reach inner peace and enlightenment?

I like the feeling of Howe across half back though.

Has courage, composure and picks the right option.

Lewis said ahead of the game that they feel he has the tank to one day move into the guts, until then would love him to spend a bit of time learning from General Hodge and The Birch !!

Who's place does he take? Tall like Strats but can go into the midfield like Burgers and Hodge

The commentators on the weekend said the club thought Howe has a similar game and build to Strats, but with a bigger tank, which would allow him to run through the mid. Pretty exciting if that's true.

Modern midfielders need to play like HBF for a lot of the game these days os it is a great place to do an apprenticeship. Will also need exposure to clearances and bam, we have the next general of our midfield.

Better kick than Strats (no offence Strats)...marking and tackling as good? Hard to say. Got a HTB very early which was cool

He plays everywhere at Box Hill. Kicking goals, running through midfield, half-back. I hope to see him in this role in the AFL.

I think he'll be transitioned over time and rotated through the back half. Maybe someone like Suckling will lose his spot to him. If he comes on a lot, the Hawks might not even try to match whatever deal Suckers gets from elsewhere, knowing they have Litherland, Duryea and Howe that can all play across half back.

"He's the #9 Hawthorn deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll train him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our #9. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight." - Lt. James Gordon

Jed can take the #15 when he's got all of his skill and ability put together.

Disappointing decision to leave him as the non playing emergency IMO. Along with being sub last week and a byes for Hawthorn and Box Hill next week will result in 1 1/4 of footy in 3 weeks. I understand a first year player should be managed but it I imagine it would result in a fair loss of momentum.

Do Box Hill have a bye too?

Yes, Box Hill have a bye as well. Footy drought next weekend!
