i was reading a topic on him last week i think...its gone now? and jimmy gwilt said he was gone.HAHA he was way off the mark.it caused everyone to turn on murray and question his credibility!....little did you all know he is being retained and a strong chance for elevation!mind you il put money on him playing NAB CUP in 2007!

i think murray is owed an apology from numerous posters!he was spot on as usual!:thumbsu:

now discuss him as a chance of being a collingwood footballer and where he would fit.not him as being delisted (because its not happening)

I think you'll find most didn't believe it anyway. I'd be massively suprised if Nicholls got cut.

Anyone with any clue would realise that the club wasn't going to delist Danny Nicholls - He has shown more than most of the players we drafted last year.

He's a quick, skilled, hard midfielder that can play - We can't afford to lose any of those.

I agree, but don't expect those that attacked murray to offer up an apology. Its not the done thing around here anymore.

yeh but there were a few knocking murray saying jimmy gwilt has more credit with this topic....and they beleive him!...but yeh sure as hell isnt going anywhere,if hes going somewhere il put money on it being the main list before he gets chopped!il bet my house,dog,kids and wife that he plays NAB CUP!

murray wont see the apology anyways.... i played footy against nicho and he is a great bloke with a passion for the gamne and a drive to succeed, wish him all the best
 
he got banned?? I thought there were other people way in front of murray to be banned....oh well yeah i thought he was one of the better posters too
 
Murray needed a break because he couldn't accept the October rounds, ie. trade rumours, delisting rumours. Jimmy named a source and as a forum user put it up for topic for us Collingwood fans and neutral fans to look at and discuss. Murray, who had been a pain in the ass all week had dished it out to Jimmy and people who respected Jimmy, with his old bitter crap.

Jimmy came on here and gave us info he was handed on from a source who works at Collingwood.

In other news, GRANGE_GSM has come out and said something, and just because it is positive, do we believe him more than Jimmy, despite the fact GSM didn't give us a source?

I was in that topic attacking Murray but it didn't have anything to do with a Danny Nicholls delistment argument. I think we both thought it would not happen. No apology coming from me because the debate wasn't about whether Nicholls would stay.

Onto the topic, I was very impressed with Nicho early on and I think he can definitely be a player. Has pace, goes at the ball hard and has good skills. On his performances last year, IMO he did more than Stanley, Cook and Cox and I'd think he'd be a monty to get promoted at the end of next year.

He's got a point. A lot of crap gets posted around this time of the year. And the fact that he highlights that it is crap should not be held against him.

He puts forward his opinion, no different then all posters here. He should not be banned for doing what the rest of us do.
 
Murray was banned for high level abuse, with a dash of swear filter evasion to seal the deal. It's not necessarily permanent, but he'd need to at least show some respect around the other boards. Enough said about the matter.

As for Nicholls, I hope he stays for sure. When I saw him and Pendles working side by side together in the Prelim, I envisaged them working together in the future in the black and white. Nothing psychic or whatever, just a feeling.

I do agree with others that he has probably been overhyped a bit, but that's because he has something we don't have. Unwanted height aside, he has dash, tenacity and is a quality finisher by foot. Managed to get the ball, carying it, or by kicking it, with a bit of extra athleticism and depth that the likes of Lockyer, O'bree, Lica...well the whole damn Plod Squad really...lack.

I hope you're not the inverse of Jimmy Gwilt, GRANGE_GSM. I hope you're right. If he stays, he'll play NAB for certain. With Daks down, even if he's on the rookie list, he still may play seniors in Round 1!

Paul I saw Danny play in Geelong earlier in the year for Williamstown was very impressed he disappeared back to the reserves but the last games I saw him play for Williamstown Seniors were superb. He has great skills, accurate kick hits his targets!!!!!! Can spin around and kick a goal too. Talking to him at the Copeland he is a nice young man. I wish him all the Best at Collingwood would be very surprised if he does not get elevated to Collingwood list.

Murray's stance and points during the trade week were valid and I agreed with him. However the way he acted in making his point was over the top. He got too personal with people posting rumours, which I hate too and I didn't believe Gwilt either but there was no need to act the way murray did.
 
Like to see Danny used running out of BP next year at some time. Good with the feet and the eyes!

But would also like to see Toovey promoted. He is coming along nicely. Needs a Group 1 run next year
