Pearce now, but that's mainly because of Kerr's demise over the last couple of seasons. Kerr is amongst my favourite non port players, but after discussion with some eagles supporters on their board, some feel as though he may not be able to return to his best.

Kerr's best from around the mid-part of the 00's was amonst some of most damaging football by a midfielder this decade. Kerr not only had the outside game like Pearce does, but a far better inside game (though Pearce has improved with this over the last season or two).

No slight on Pearce though who has improved with copping the tag over the last couple seasons, but has struggled for support because of our squad.

So, Pearce now, at his best Kerr, and career-wise Kerr.

I haven't seen Daniel Kerr play a good game since 2008, and he hasn't had a run of form since 2007, so until he has a triumphant comeback, Pearce will get my vote.

Obviously at his best Kerr is much, much better, but who knows if his best will ever be approached again?

Kerr is a premier mid. People judge him far too harsh. Injuries have restricted him- not the inability to handle a tag.

Kerr is miles ahead of Pearce who is a very good B grader.

Kerr is in the top shelf of mids. Superstar.

Kerr was BOG in two of the first four games in 09, then struggled through 7 injury interrupted matches in 9 week before ending his season.

This year he played 4 games and tore his hammy off the bone. If he's fit next season, hopefully he can get back to being in the top 10 mids in the competition or better.

It is sad to see one of the most electrifying mids get torn down by injury like that. I hope he can regain full fitness and form because he's such a tough bastard on the field.

If both were at full fitness and playing their best footy, then this isn't anywhere near a close contest.

Kerr is miles ahead.

Right now, however, it's a different story. Kerr hasn't been fit in quite some time, so it's hard not to vote for Pearce who at least is able to get out on the park.
