Agreed. One of our most important players. Out of all our players, probably can't afford to lose him, Moore and Mihocek to injury.Has become a champion.

Hi Folks. I am not sure if you have been listening to the SEN program when Gerard Healy hosts the chap from Champion Data each Wednesday morning. I think that his name is Danel Coyne (pardon me if I got the spelling wrong). Anyway in Wednesday morning's- May14- program it was revealed that Darcy Cameron is the best intercept ruckman in the 9 game so far in 2025 with 25 which is well ahead of Max Gawn at Melbourne & that figure has never been achieved by a ruckman after 9 rounds since Champion Data has been collecting data . Moreover the same was true in relation to 2024 so much so that when you combine all of the 2024 season plus the first 9 weeks of 2025, he has accumulated 81 intercept marks. To put that figure into context, Max Gawn has taken 65 intercept marks. The next best ruckman level is 50. OK. The statistical conclusion reached by Champion. Data is that DC is perhaps the most important player in the Collingwood team & especially in terms of its defensive structures. I would strongly recommend that you go back & listen to that particular program on SEN. Anyway good luck & goodnight. He's a major key to our success. Gotta love him.
His intercept stats are incredible - he takes more intercept marks than many premier backs. Such a good player!Hi Folks. The negotiations will centre around whether we renegotiate the existing contract so he gets a pay rise in 2026 and beyondIt's fortunate that he's already signed until the end of the next year and we're in control, because his next contract will likely be his first and last opportunity for a big pay day.
Hopefully we receive a discount on his services and he signs an extension soon.
Surprised no one has bumped this.
I’m feeling ill at what’s being reported. I really hope we don’t lose him!

Think that would no doubt be our strategy. Renegotiate his 2026 deal along with an extension to 2030. That way we spread the cost over 5 years. Realistically we should be in contention for years to come, so why would you even consider a move to West Coast who probably won't be in finals contention before then? The negotiations will centre around whether we renegotiate the existing contract so he gets a pay rise in 2026 and beyond
If we try and play hard ball on that he may request a trade at end of 2025
Scott Cummings does.I don't think anyone rates what Scott Cummings says, tbh.
I'm not sure what you base this theory on. Goldsack is 36/37? Ruckman usually take longer to develop....One ruckman hit 30 you have to be careful with these contracts. Could offer him a 2 year extension on the current one and bump his coin up slightly.
If WCE offer us something decent you have to look at it due to his age/position.
Yeah 30 would be ruckman prime now wouldn’t it?I'm not sure what you base this theory on. Goldsack is 36/37? Ruckman usually take longer to develop....

Looks that way.... Gawn is still the dominant ruckman at 34.Yeah 30 would be ruckman prime now wouldn’t it?
