Just a poser of a question to anyone who would care to reply. Whom would supporters rather - Marshall (Port) or Fogarty (Crows). Marshall only 1 year older. Marshall having a very good year and Fogarty is starting to show what he can do

Both great kicks for goal. I'd argue Fogarty has shown he can move up the ground a bit better recently, but Marshall has also been good in contested marking.

Thoughts
Both Marshall & Fogarty had career best years & both are going to be good long term players.

Also as key forwards, both are accurate kicks for goal.

There was a rumour floating around from an IK poster in the first half of this season, when Fog couldnt get any form to his game and was struggling, that if it was the end of his career at the crows that he wouldnt go to any other club for futher opportunities.

he’d simply walk away from football altogether and go work on the, aparently very lucrative, family farm back in Lucindale..

Has absolutely no interest in moving interstate and aparently also told many clubs this in his draft year too..

Reacon he plays for the crows or doesnt play at all.

But..

You’d have to think if Fog takes his current form and improves on it next season.. the crows will transfer a very large chunk of Sloane’s current $800k a year contract onto Fog’s new one.

Sloanes contract conveniently ends next season..

Sounds like rubbish. SFA difference between Adelaide and Melbourne down in the SE.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, never in doubt.

Fantastic news for both him and the Crows.

Seems to me that Nicks' tough love approach to Fogarty (such as banishing him to the SANFL for an extended period) did pay off and Fog is reaping the rewards of an improved work rate and training.

Crows are going to be one of my must watch teams next year, especially with the addition of Rankine.

Going to admit, I'm tipping the Crows to make the eight, i honestly believe you have gotten enough games into your kids and I expect more improvement and growth from your 23-24 age bracket players.

Lots to like about the Crows going into 2023

Really looking forward to watching our forward line live.

Serious x-factor with Rankine, Rachele & McAdam.

Decent talls with Tex, Fog & Thilthorpe.

Think we are still a couple of years away from finals with our young list... but as long as we see improvement & attractive game style, I'm comfortable with this.

Much will depend on how our midfield goes. Pedlar & Taylor are the players we need to have impact with further improvement in Soligo.
