Not sure there’s been many KPFs that have had a 30-goal increase from any total pre-25yo, to any total post-25yo"already 25". So years before most key forwards reach their performance peak?

He kicked 60 when he was 22, though. As quality as he is, Fog hasn’t shown that ceiling yetWalker didn't kick 70+ goals until he was into his 30's.

‘Many’Literally the current Coleman medallist?
Who was the poster who was on Fog watch during the trial games and who latched on a couple of quieter games?
You’re pushing it. Three injury interrupted years before kicking 60Charlie Curnow
I guess it also helps that the two teams we've played so far were garbage defensively, which allowed us to get a lot of quick, clean ball movement. I want to see us up against some of the good teams like Hawthorn, Brisbane etc before I start getting out the lotion and tissues. But all you can do is beat what's in front of you, and we've at least done that convincingly. That's one of the bigger things for me. Felt like in previous years we'd just go for pure numbers at a contest hoping to get something, but that hasn't really happened yet this year. Part of that would be the quicker ball movement, but we're being smarter with trying to go to 1-1 contests, rather than just "get it deep as we can" and kick to a pack to try and keep it contested and locked in.

Can’t we accept that Fog is very solid, but it’s more unlikely than not he’ll ever be a 70 goal forward?
Once Tex goes I think we will straighten out a lot. However I think Fog will end up roaming the top of the 50 and Thilthorpe goes to the square. So he likely might not be that 70 goal forward because he is more that high forward linking role tex plays now. You're right, it's not every so often that the Gary Ablett, Barry Hall, Alistair Lynch, Brad Johnson, Brendan Fevola, Jonathan Brown, Fraser Gehrig types come along
Don't make me bring up Gordon Coventry
But yes it's unlikely
Fog has been in a bottom 4 team, hasn’t had the opportunity really yet.He kicked 60 when he was 22, though. As quality as he is, Fog hasn’t shown that ceiling yet
RT is much more likely to hit those heights IMO
He’s clearly a talented bugger, if that’s the point he’s making. A lot of talented buggers hover around the 40-60 mark for their careers, that’s just where I see Fog in the context of this forward line10 of the last 13 coleman medallists have kicked below 70 goals, I don't think hyper fixating on that number is necessary, or was really Jo's point.
Fair point, our I50 delivery is a lot better now, but you could say that helps all our forwardsFog has been in a bottom 4 team, hasn’t had the opportunity really yet.

In a vacuum… maybe. Hard to kick 70 in this eraQuestion was ceiling though, not good long term average.
Hard not to be able to squint and say you can't see 70 as a ceiling.
He's rocking the Magnum PI moustache, what's not to love. Not sure if anyone heard the in interview with ANB a couple of weeks ago on AA breakfast but they asked who surprised him the most in terms of players not being what he expected.
He mentioned Fog straight away. Always had this perception of him being this intense, without down the line footy dude. Apparently he is completely the opposite off the field. A real larikan around the club and one of the most jovial blokes in the team.
Like Froggy said, how can you not love him.
FWIW, I reckon he's got more improvement left in him still. Will be a direct beneficiary of our more nuanced forward entries going forward.
I would to, but he will be held back by the other goal options we have.I'll back him in to be the next Bernie Quinlan
Couple of years cruising around that 30-40 goals a year range then BAM, piles on 500 goals after the age of 29
Thillthorpe 3, Tex 3, Rakine 3, Rochelle 3, Keays 3, Soligo 2, Dawson 2, ANB 2, Cummings/Peatling 1, Milera/Hinge/ROB/Crouch 1....25 goals a game every week is like 600 goals a year to spread around
