We are more likely to make the finals if we spread the load & have multiple fire-power up front. Ie.

2x 40+ goal kickers
3 x 30+ goal kickers

I'd say we are more likely to make finals if Soligo improves again on his first stellar year, Berry gets even better, Shoenberg gets very consistent, Pedlar stays injury free and shows us the player we hoped he could be, Laird has a career best year, Rankine excells as an outside mid and Dawson plays majority outside midfield. Then we need our ruck(s) to have a consistently good year. The rest will then take care of itself

You can't fault Keays's effort or attack or his gut running. It's just his foot disposal that lets him down. Play him on the best opposition player. We need a cooler, and he should be it. The HF stuff worked against Carlton because he was on Saad. That has to be his role.

My assumption was the goals would be spread ....Tex, Rankine, McAdam, Rachelle ....hence if Fogarty got 50 goals, it's natural to assume we're playing Finals

If Fog gets 50 goals that also sort of implies a functional midfield.

I’m guessing some coaches are going to utilise the new tactical sub rule to use a scragger/run with player to run his guts out for a half or three quarters to run an opposition player into the ground.

I don't think anyone here would pick keays over any of those players. Those 3 are pretty elite lol.

Not suggesting they aren’t better players. What I am saying is many on the board have a perfect view of players from other teams. In terms of finishing (goal kicking) those guys are no better than Keays
Overall damage for a game I would agree they are better players

That or pick a mid size 6'4" runner to come off the half back line dropping back then running off creating play

He’s the U25 I’m picking in the leadership group to give it a nice spread

Just gives him a taste for it among some more senior guys , can’t see it having effect on his form , could actually help

funnily enough, after initially thinking he was being hindered by Tex's presence for the past 3 years, I think Tex has fostered his development. When Tex retires, we are going to be left with a Tex clone. Perfect outcome
