I think he is playing quite injured. He was absolutely drilled in a contest against Fremantle and down for a long time - keeps going.

AFL players get called all sorts of things when they underperform because they have half their ribs broken - but if you spit up some blood with that during your close up in a final you'll be a hero and tough forever.

There are guys who played last week with broken bones in a sport that will fire you if you don't run into oncoming traffic.
