Simmilar situation to Caddy though, I wouldn't have him on the ball ahead of our other options at this stage. He played the link up well rolling off a half forward flank Friday. If he's happy with that for the time being it would be nice.

We do have a lot of solid midfielders though..Can't all play there.
I am not a Blicavs hater but often wonder whether he 'gums up the works' a bit as a midfielder. Lang is such a good user and has the vision needed to open up play.

Dont think he could beat a josh kennedy though.
On the positive side, he played a terrifically good final on friday. If he can give us two more of those we may be reconsidering trading him away.
A few players may retain their geelong spots with a premiership win
Or......if he plays well enough, he could ask for more money. Damn his hide. Lol

Is cooper stephens more of a keeper then darcy lang? Or is he just another darcy lang? A keeper that even carlton didnt want to keep.
I totally see corey parallels with lang. As usual you are always on the money Daz. But do I see them with cooper? Hard to say. He has only just been drafted.
Ps shouldnt we take the corey discussion to the corey thread?

I always saw David Johnson in Lang rather than Joel Corey. Cooper Stevens on the other hand, I can see the Corey comparison.

He sure is still on Carlton's list for next season.
Played 8 games for the blues in 2019.
Cool. I always thought he might have made it as a player. Just didn't get the chances at Geelong.

Gees Im gonna have to spell out my poor attempt at humour arent I despite it being incredibly obvious. This post was actually about something you posted 3 days ago. Not 3 years ago.
We were all fine with posters endlessly comparing Stephens to Corey but as soon as they started to compare him to Lang you wanted to shut that discussion down and told everyone to take all Lang talk to this thread instead. So I did only to find that you compared Lang to Corey. Like really compared. Like a little more then most of us wanted to imagine. Lang is Corey, Stephens is Corey, but Stephens can not be Lang.
But in any case ignoring all this how exactly do we work out whether anyone was right about players or long term strategy if we dont look back at least 3 years into the past. We need to encourage more historical reflection. How else do we know if people actually know their stuff? Plus its funny to look at.
