Exactly. While I don't think either will be going anywhere, if that were to happen bidding should start at 2x 1st rounders each. We could end up with 5x top 20 picks at this years draft. That sort of haul should set a team up for sustained success and we could play havoc bidding on all the NGA, F/S and academy picks along the way making clubs pay for those prospects.

Beams at 29 and with his own plane of baggage cost 2 first rounders. On that price, De Goey should command around 4 first rounders and a 2nd round upgrade.

Admittedly friendship needs to be absorbed into a player bonding process to be effective as a team motivator, but I would imagine that players actually liking each other and enjoying each other's company would motivate better performance. in any case, you are the one who described it as friendship whereas the poster you debated called it bonding. Do you believe mutual hatred or indifference would enhance team performance?

Sidetrack? My point is that friendships don’t matter in professional sport. It’s a job and these guys want to win. List strength matters, which is why we will be top 4. Outside friendships are irrelevant.
