Getting into unjustified negative territory there TG. Can we at least wait on the scan before we write his entire season off?

I agree ... we should stick to the things that we know, like it's probably buck's fault and we need to overhaul our fitness staff...

For what it's worth Eddie said on thge radio this morning that at this stage he looks likely to miss a couple of weeks but they are waiting on the scan results today.

Bloody Hope So.

But I think that could be just what Eddie is Hoping

We have a VFL bye in round 6 (round 2 was just completed) so Darcy won't play till round 7 of the VFL at earliest you would think, no matter what the severity is.

The news wasn’t as good for Darcy Moore and Tony Armstrong after the defenders sustained injuries in Collingwood’s VFL loss to Essendon on Sunday.

Armstrong left the game in the first quarter with a knee complaint while Moore pulled up sore and felt for his hamstring in the fourth quarter.

“When he did it, it looked like he might be out forever. Fortunately, after another look at it, it’s not quite as bad,” Balme said of Moore.

“We haven’t got the results of the scans yet. He’ll certainly miss this week, but hopefully not too much more.

So I guess they THINK that is not as bad as 1st Thought BUT the Scans not in yet so they can’t be sure how bad it is

I'm not sure if the Doc has seen the scans, and the AFL article implied he hadn't. In any case the fine print of his 'diagnosis' suggested that the club would thrown in a couple of weeks for added physio, to avoid a reoccurrence of the strain. That would put it at 4-6 weeks, which means we'll see him after the VFL bye.

Maybe now we will feverishly pray for Tony Armstrong?

See you next year darcy:$

I would not go that far but they pretty much said they had nothing Official about it yet

Good to hear Kennedy is fit to play also, it will be interesting to see how is fitness is. He won't be far away from AFL level in my opinion.

Doc Larkins is full of sh1t. He has never been right when predicting injuries

In fairness he is trying to predict it from watching the TV like the rest of us. Bit unfair to suggest he should be getting it right when he doesn't have all the info.

I remember he correctly diagnosed Nathan Brown's (from Richmond) broken leg and Michael Barlow as well. Said they were broken and would take a while to recover and he was right both times. The Defence rests.

He shouldn't be predicting anything in regards to severity of soft tissue injuries. It's just guessing like any other mug.
Tell us the injury, and be done with it. Leave the predictions of recovery time to the club doctors who are actually treating the players.

I just saw the Balmey report and he seems to think it's not as bad as first thought and a few weeks. But then again, I remember Balmey was saying that Ottens was 2 weeks away for about the whole season years back, lol.

I wish Moore the best, I don't care if he is not playing in the Collingwood side early, I just hope he is able to get some good games in the reserves this year and learn somethings and come out better for it.
