Wouldn't worry about it, no due to play games this year anyway.
At 18 that's not an issue when his muscle growth hasn't settled until 22. From 22 onwards hamstring injuries can become cumulative, prior no issue. How about the fact players who tear hamstrings are more likely to tear muscles in the future?
Shame for the kid but injures are part of the game unfortunately.
I'm no expert on injuries but surely 18-23 year olds are not suppose to get hamstring/soft tissue injuries so often. Surely it should be the older players getting them more often. Maybe Daveron just works the young players too hard.

Would've thought the kids stepping up the work rate into the AFL system would've been pretty prone to soft tissue injuries with the increased workload myself.

That is quite normalWas walking soon after still could be cramp
If he has done tendon damage, Marsh, Freeman and Sinclair have done tendon damage as well as Moore. 4 players with hamstring tendon damage in a 12 month period would indicate a major issue with training loads set by the fitness head.
Take a look at the top 15 in the 2013 AFL draft. Pretty much all of them have had an uninterrupted injury run and slotted into clubs best 22 (or close to) already.
Which are the only two kids who have had long injuries? Freeman and Scharenberg... We are either the most unlucky club in the AFL or there is something seriously wrong with our program.
What have we done to deserve this amount of bad luck
Scharenberg did a knee and was drafted with a known long term injury, I seriously doubt it was anything to do with our program. And I'd say Freeman was extremely unlucky to tear his hammy in the NAB Cup like that for sure.
