Darcy moore hamstring :(

Watching him do it live was shattering, but he walked back to the rooms unasssisted so it can't be too bad.

When Marsh did his last year, a tendon I believe, he could hardly walk and needed assistance getting back to the rooms.

This was him walking back to the rooms;

Though Freeman walked off in the NAB Challenge when he did his Bad Hammy

Not sure why some people are saying Moore played well. Thought he did some nice spoils but other than that he hardly touched the ball. Of course based on other games and reports he sounds like he will be very good but he did nothing today.

His Job is a Stopper and not to get Touches

Don’t like the Sound of That:cry:

They will take it easy on him so a Chance he is gone for the Season is Sadly Possible:cry:

I didn'y want him to play in the seniors this year, I hate seeing young players "thrown to the wolves". I'm moore (geddit) than happy for him to develop slowly, and come in after we win the premiership in 2016.

So you think this Hammy could be a Blessing in Disguise so we can spend the year on Building Up Moore’s Body?

Lol. No coach tells a player to not get possessions. Just because his primary role is to stop doesn't mean they wouldn't like him to get the ball as well. In fact if the coaching staff are trying to turn him into a presti type they are morons considering we already have brown and frost.

You are the Only Guy on here Bagging Moore:rolleyes::thumbsdown:

Exactly my thoughts, plenty of time.

Yeah he was sitting in the stands, but worked with the players every day for months prior. Our record with injury, particularly to young players is poor since he joined the club.
The boot strapper and ball cleaner have worked with the players for months also. Maybe they are to blame?

I just dont know how people sitting at home who know nothing about the going ons behind the scenes with fitness staff and programs at the club can directly correlate who and what is to blame for our current injury crisis.

Trying to put 2 and 2 together with no knowledge of anything will always net you an answer other than 4 in my book.

Well, firstly what hammy?

Secondly, no injury is a blessing, but time in recovery can be well spent on developing other aspects of his fitness so it's far from a dead loss.

I would rather see him fit and firing, and playing in the ressies for the year, but I am a bit of a "glass half full" guy these days.

Disappointing news and does sour the weekend a bit. I'm sure the fitness staff will ensure he is given plenty of time to recover and get back soon.

Yep, you saw him up close, body needs a little but more development, so sad for him but wouldn't rush him. Even without the injury, I would rather he not play many games in the seniors unless he has had at least 12 games in the VFL.
There was an incident just before me in the third quarter when two players collided, I swear I heard the bump. Ouch!

Yeah, hated seeing Langdon have a stellar debut season.....

The one thing I enjoy about watching RL live is the sounds - when 200 kilo of human body hit each other at about 30 kph, the sound is visceral!

Its not bagging. Just saying he had a bad game. I'm sure he will be a good player. Just because we want/hope/think he will be good doesn't mean you have to say everything does is great.

It seriously was loud, my shoulders went up. Felt the pain.

He did not have a Great Game but I though he did a Good Job

I wonder what the stats are of seasoned collingwood player soft tissue injuries to young player soft tissue injuries are? Could just be in my head but it seems its the young players coping it more. If that was true surely that indicates they need to ease the load on the younger players. Even if it means they take a bit longer to be AFL fitness ready.

Why try to start an arguement?
Last I heard, it's a free country and I can express my opinion any damn way I please.

Frankly, these days clubs are proffessional enough to know when kids are and aren't ready for senior footy. The majority of top 10 picks play anywhere between 10-20 games in their first seasons with no ill effects, I don't see how ours are any different (except they seem to get injured before they even get a chance to play).
