Darcy moore hamstring :(

Well if we are increasing training loads to build fitness, early indications are it is working. Have run out every game pretty well so far this year, that is with a very young team.

I prefer to look at the positives and enjoy supporting Collingwood. Bad luck to Darcy but he can spend a bit of time building his upper body and reflecting now. Will be interesting to see how Marsh develops in the Vfl without Reid and Moore too.

Marsh will be fine. He developed brilliantly last year without Reid or Moore, I expect him to continue that this year.

Well its good to build the fitness of the players that can actually handle it. And it seems to be working for the seniors. But I'm talking about the 1-3 year players.

Isn't that what Davorans job is? To build personalised training? Overwise I could get a job just telling everyone to run 1000 laps. I don't have facts to back it up so could be wrong. Just feels like more young players get soft tissue injuries than older players when it should be the other way around.

Last I heard, it's a free country and I can express my opinion any damn way I please.

Frankly, these days clubs are proffessional enough to know when kids are and aren't ready for senior footy. The majority of top 10 picks play anywhere between 10-20 games in their first seasons with no ill effects, I don't see how ours are any different (except they seem to get injured before they even get a chance to play).

Pethaps you could have expressed your opinion in a more respectful way? Anyway, as you say, it's a free country so good luck to you.

I prefer to see the bigger guys develop physically, but then again if I was a Carlton fan I would have liked to see Murphy have a year or two in the seconds, rather than have him used as a pinball in the big boys game. I think that if players are allowed to "grow into their bodies" before being smashed in the seniors they may have longer effective careers.

On the other hand, if a player is good enough, and physically mature, then I have no reason to disagree with throwing them into the deep end.

I'd just halt the general freak out.

I did a grade two tear in my hammy a couple of weeks ago and I definitely couldn't walk straight away.

He be fine. It's football, players get injured.

Please....

If Smokeyr67 wasnt offended then there's no reason you should be. You've made a mountain out of a molehill.

Exactly my thoughts, plenty of time.
There might be plenty of time but we'd rather him out there getting some games into him, not effectively being a first year player in terms of his development in his second.

I wish I could be so Glass half full. I have serious queries as to whether we will ever see Sharenberg play AFL football. It's a legitimate problem if our top picks keep getting injured. Can't really gloss over it. If we had for example none of our first picks over a 3 year period come on, it would set us back years. These picks are the cream. These picks are the ones you can't afford to waste. Unless you want to be Melbourne for years prior to Roos.

And worst isn't the worst thing in the world, he'll recover, get some time to spend in the coaches box (hopefully), and develop into a great player and fantastic person:)

and come back with a Bigger Body.

Marsh and Freeman have come back well this season and showed that the Hammy has not hurt them but Still be terrible to lose him for the whole Season

He knows how to play football, so I'm happy for him to spend some time learning to manage his body:)

I wish I could be so Glass half full. I

Being glass half full is easy - get a glass, put in 3/8ths of the glass in caffeine free diet cola, then add 2/8ths of a glass in potato juice - viola, your more than a glass half full!

Your posts may make a hell of a lot less sense, but because your suddenly optimistic, it doesn't matter:drunk:

He loses the season in our eyes, but it's not like he's going to spend the year in bed, he'll be working on other aspects of his game.
