Darcy moore hamstring :(

Thank god they give the players a break after 6 games.

Knowing the VFL they probably get another bye 3-4 weeks after that one...
Yep, another bye in round 10.

Marvellous scheduling in the VFL.:drunk:

I just saw the Balmey report and he seems to think it's not as bad as first thought and a few weeks. But then again, I remember Balmey was saying that Ottens was 2 weeks away for about the whole season years back, lol.

I wish Moore the best, I don't care if he is not playing in the Collingwood side early, I just hope he is able to get some good games in the reserves this year and learn somethings and come out better for it.

Balme said the Results of Scan is not back.

So you can take what Balmey said with a Grain of Salt at the Moment

He shouldn't be predicting anything in regards to severity of soft tissue injuries. It's just guessing like any other mug.
Tell us the injury, and be done with it. Leave the predictions of recovery time to the club doctors who are actually treating the players.

Its his job as a media person to give his best estimate. Going off your logic commentators shouldn't talk about who they think will come into a side before the game starts as they should just wait to see the final team. Actually if commentators aren't allowed to why are we allowed to guess at it in a forum without official collingwood sanction. Who cares if he says what he thinks is likely and gets it wrong. We all get it wrong and so does the club.

Predicting team changes based on form is a far cry from predicting injury recovery time based on... well, nothing. Keep thinking it's the same thing if it makes you feel better though. We'll have to agree to disagree here.

I just don't see why its such a crime. He and all the media is just meeting the demands of what fans want.

The boot strapper and ball cleaner have worked with the players for months also. Maybe they are to blame?

I just dont know how people sitting at home who know nothing about the going ons behind the scenes with fitness staff and programs at the club can directly correlate who and what is to blame for our current injury crisis.

Trying to put 2 and 2 together with no knowledge of anything will always net you an answer other than 4 in my book.
You state we have an "injury crisis" just as Eddie did at the end of last year. Yet feel questioning the person who runs the fitness department is equivalent to blaming the ball cleaner.........lol ok. I will make it simple for you. If the footys are continually dirty sack the ball cleaner. If players keep going down with injuries well above the statistical norm year on year, sack the high performance manager

Why stop there? Lets sack Darcy Moore's hamstring for coming off the bone. Or his old mans genetics for making the hamstring weak.

Pull ya head in

Good chance to hit the GYM for Darcy now to work on his upper body (has solid legs for age but thin torso).
Yep, exactly what I thought when I saw him on Sunday and didn't support him playing in the seniors for a while.

You know he'll only stub his toe on the fridge and break it!

Or slip on a wet floor and pull his hamstring. Broomhead, Scharenberg, Freeman, Moore. I mean, wow.

Don't forget Kennedy had compartment syndrome and Grundy missed a lot of his first year with his back issues.
God... How many team would have had such bad luck with their first rounders for three years running...

6/7 with injury/illness issues in their first year (touch wood on DeGoey )

Melbourne come to mind. Pretty similar luck to us with first rounders. We might have them beat by a hair though.

She may be right this time she does talk to him

Well We will See -I think I trust her more with the Kids as working with TAC Cup Radio means she knows them.

So he back after the Bye. So that won't be to bad and he can spend a few weeks in the Gym
