We win 37% of the time with Moore playing, so even your attempts at statistics aren't factual.

And again, correlation doesn't imply causation. There is nothing factual about stating we play better without him based purely on a tiny sample size of games that accounts for no other factors i.e. opponent, injury etc.

Factor in where he usually takes those and it was more often than not between the arcs with the big F50 contested mark the exception rather than the rule. I'm not questioning Moore's capacity to become a very good KPF, but I think we'll see this year he can become an elite defender in the same discussion as the McGovern types.

But most tall forwards take more of their marks up the ground. Key forwards are more important than key defenders

Agreed, it's the biggest issue that we have up forward. I see nothing to suggest that adding Moore up forward will help that out.

Moore is much better on a lead then either of the other 2.

Contested work is yet to be seen but his body is getting there.

My argument is that he can excel as a KPD without being great at marking the ball under physical duress as he only needs to be able to get a fist in when someone bodies up on him. As a KPF target, he needs to do more than get a fist in in those situations to excel. The other skills that he may be able to bring to the table as a forward are well and truly covered by our current forward mix.

You talk as if Darcy often fails to compete like Cox often does, even as a teenager playing in a putrid team he competed and bought it down. The difference is Darcy is still in the contest when it comes down where as cox is often completely out if it.
With Cox when he fails to mark it's either completely outmarked or comes down and is completely out of the ground contest.

Cox has potential no doubt but due to his flaws he needs to be much more then a player who just "halves a contest". Anyway my opinion is he needs major improvement in intesisty at man and ball. Also needs more strength work.

Darcy is a show pony. And as we all know show ponies are all potential legends.
Darcy has the potential to be an out and out legend of the game.
Highly skilled, incredibly athletic, built for the game.
Please don't compare him to Daniher.
Daniher has a terrible mustache, Moore has a show pony hair style. The show pony hair style is far more preferable than the mustache.
Also, a fit Moore that can string some games together will be far superior to Daniher.
He is the ultimate show pony, and he is our show pony.
If he remains fit then watch out. This kid is special.

Daniher is better as a forward atm.

When Darcy played KPF he was young. I expect that he would make a better fist of it now. But from what we've seen of both Cox and Darcy as KPF, I think "

They're not facts, they're your conclusions based on your interpretation of data. The coaches assessment of his performance last Friday is also at odds with your "facts".

It's interesting. I did several comparisons in the lead up to the PF and the GF between games in which Moore played versus games in which he did not. Those comparisons did not favour him.

It would be easy to continue to say that that trend is continuing, but I will hold off because I thought he was the 2nd best Collingwood player after Elliott. Difficult to criticise him if he is one of your best players. I expect him to improve and become better but this is a great (re-)start for him.

Just looking over 2018/19, where the team had plenty of chances to play without him and get better.

Darcy plays most games, team is shit

Darcy is injured, team nearly wins a premiership. Even the coaches were smart enough to see this and not pick him in finals when all the fanbois were screaming for his inclusion

Darcy comes back, teams loses to bottom 8 side...

If Darcy stays fit, we won't be playing finals this year

Think that Friday night was greasy and not made for marks. Anyway a lot of the spoils were because he made up ground with great closing speed and he was in no position to mark anyway.

Never thought he was a poor shot for goal even though he missed the odd sitter.
