Rhys Stanley is just as athletic.Moore's size and agility mean he could be anything, I can't recall a 200cm player as agile and quick as him... He needs to learn how to use his body though.

There was a guy called Peter Moore, won a couple of Brownlows

I remember reading in Lee Mathew's book that he didn't regard himself as elite in anything. So it's not about how elite you are, but how you use your talent. If he's super elite then great, we are all over the moon.
If not at worst he'll be an awesome second ruck and handy forward. Not a bad plan b
No pressure on him yet, he will develop at his own pace. Admittedly his pace has been pretty rapid already And some impatient Pies supporters might be expecting that rate of improvement to continue. It doesn't work like that, we need to be prepared for ups and downs.
I think Leigh was being modest. He was exceptional at knocking people outI remember reading in Lee Mathew's book that he didn't regard himself as elite in anything. So it's not about how elite you are, but how you use your talent.

I think Moore does have the potential to be one of the top forwards in the game, as good is not better than Jack Riewoldt. I will not put a ceiling on what he becomes because after less than 10 games, in the Pies of 2015, i don't think i've seen enough to make a proper assessment.
And Darcy is 199. 200cm is close enough unless you want to be picky.Peter Moore was 198cms...

You need to have a standout first season to get second year blues Dave. Whilst Darcy had a solid debut season, he still only played less than 10 senior games, and he wasn't all that effective aside from the Bulldogs game. There be a Chance next season he might have 2nd Year Blues but IF That Happens you should not just come out and call him a Hack. Like what happened with Grundy
Dave, I honestly don't believe you have the capacity for impartial assessment here. Moore's 5 goal game was an exception, rather than his norm. Outside of that game he showed that he really wasn't actually ready for AFL, struggling for both goals and possessions at AFL level (and to be frank, at VFL level as well...).
IF White was Twice the Player of Moore last year. Then why was he Dropped?![]()
He moved to Melbourne where they wear high heels and still won a BrownlowPeter Moore was 198cms...
I can't agree with that, Moore's competitiveness puts him ahead of White. White didn't impact enough contests, Moore tried to bring the ball to ground like his life dependent on it and gives our small forwards a chance to crumb.
Moore's also more effective when the ball hits the ground. Moore >>>>>>>>>>>> White already IMO.
I disagree that Moore is Clearly Tier Down on Hogan. Sorry but I disagree. I see Moore and Hogan both being Top End Forwards of the Competition.
Moore has played Half a Season and Only Started playing Forward Half-Way thru the Season. He played Pre-Season and Start of Season down Back and Did looks good down back as well. So too early to Call on the Production stage yet.
Hogan been playing Senior Footy Longer and Been in the AFL System a few year longer. So he has a Head Start on Moore.
Hogan also has to do it again this Season

If he didn't improve next year even slightly, with another preseason under his belt as a tall, it would be seriously concerning.
Perhaps the more important question is why was Moore retained when White clearly out-performed him?

Maybe the selectors just wanted to put a rocket up White about some issues with his consistency and attack on the footy, while expectation on Moore were so much lower in his first season.
You're confusing potential with current reality but either way, a player can have all the endeavour in the world but if he ain't getting the footy it doesn't amount to much.
