Membrey vs Moore is a who cares factor. Membrey could be the type of player that has a Jack Anthony like season and then falls off the face of a cliff. Moore is a guaranteed superstar and that's all I care about.

He's been in the system for four years. If he's not beating a second year key forward in every stat then he's not very good. I'll wager that Moore will catch up to Membrey in 2017, and overtake him in 2018.

Membrey is a star in the making so Moore being shaded by him ATM, but still in the discussion is a big positive for me! Plenty of underrating of Membrey's game going on here (not including yourself obviously) which surprises me.
I know it's the off-season so we are starved of things to talk about...but the Membrey v Moore comparison is a strange one.
I really like Membrey and think he is going to be a great player. But he is a completely different player to Moore and also 2 years older. So not sure why the comparison apart from the fact they have played similar amount games and both play in the forward line.

The comparison came from a Herald Sun commenter who said that Membrey was ahead of Moore at the moment, the stats make that hard to argue with.
I have no doubt, however, that Moore will eclipse him eventually, and also become the greatest player of all time ever.
I agree. Everyone has mentioned that Membrey is two years older, but he was also a much later draft pick and a Sydney reject, and passed over by us in the draft four times, whereas Moore was pick 5 or whatever it was from the Dogs.
I'm hoping, and sure, that Moore will be the better player, but it's a bit silly to scoff at the comment that Membrey is ahead at the moment.
Don't be so callous, shit tattoos have won us premierships before!

Membrey is a bit undersized and seems vulnerable to the oppositions best defender from what I've seen. He'll be very good so long as there are better forwards supporting him imo.
Moore hasn't really done that much other than the WC game but what he showed was that he can tear teams up regardless of who is playing on him or the teammates around him. He's still only 20 and has injuries so it's not like there's anything to be worried about.

Beams definitely takes the Brownlow, Norm Smith and Hall of Fame for shit tattoos, but Cloke still wins the Coleman at least.
Membrey averaged 2.6 goals per game last year which is quite a lot, but most of them were against weak opposition.
His average against Top 8 teams is 1.1 goals/game, versus 3.6/game against Bottom 10 sides.
Edit: Darcy's average was 1.4 for 2016, yet was 1.7 against Top 8 teams.

Yeah he was incredible in that first half against West Coast. Although let's not forget, they mostly played Wellingham on him, so they deserved to be towelled up...

I am still a Huge Moore Fan BUT His form so far this year is a Worry. Only Kicked 1 Goal I think in the JLTSeries and did next to Nothing vs the Dogs. Though was Robbed 2 Marks from the Scumps last night.

We bombed the ball long to Cox a great deal yesterday, which was unsuccessful, and the Bulldogs got back in numbers which resulted in a lot of turnovers going inside 50.
That said, Moore was pretty invisible in the first half. We don't have better options, however, and we have a lot of draft capital invested in him. He needs to get further exposure at AFL level, and he's not going to get it by being dropped after round 1.

I don't know if Buckley wanted Reid to play a negating type role, but if that's what he has planned for him, wouldn't it have been suited to play Reid up forward and bring Dunn in as that extra tall defender? Howe did a great job as third man up and we won't always need both him and Reid playing that role in some games.

Darcy appears to be out of form TD. Those suggesting he be dropped to the twos are not neccessarily seeking to punish him, but to give him the chance to play at the lower level to regain confidence. I am not qualified to comment with any confidence on what is wrong with Darcy, but he seems to have lost his exuberance, his spark, and its been missing all pre-season. It may just be a 'three year' thing, or he may have a niggle, or he may be getting poor advice from the coaches. I dont know, but I want the old Darcy back, and soon!

But Dropping Moore to get Confidence.back would badly Weaken the AFL Forward Line. I am not sold either White or Cox could play that Role as our Number 1 KPF
I don't have high thoughts about the Coaches
Apart from maybe finding some form and confidence. Been done to many a good player in the past.

IF we had someone to take Moore's Spot. Then you give him a Week or 2 in the VFL but sadly we don't
