The ball coming his way is very slow so the opposition get numbers back and when it does arrive it's a junk kick.

I don't understand why this young fwd isn't kicking bags of goals each week....

Sounds like Jesse Hogan or Jemery Cameron back when they played for bottom 4 sides...

Or Tom Lynch...

Maybe Moore will just end up a good player and not a superstar?

Why play him deep when he's a medicore contested mark due to being slight underweight for a KPF atm?

Surely you play him as a high lead up forward similar to Gunston and N Roo. Get him involved, while letting him put on weight, preparing him for a more goal kicking role.

Actually I meant to say 'high' rather than deep my mistake late night posting.

When he kicked those five against the Dogs he was running through the centre up and down like a basketballer causing all sorts of havoc, our defenders didn't know what to make of him. I also saw a young man playing with energy and exuberance for the joy of the game.

Sadly the game at the top level is so over-coached that it takes away the kids natural instincts. The traditional position of full forward or CHF doesn't really exist for teams like the Pies and Dogs.

I'm not sure what all the who ha is about. Granted, he hasn't been kicking enough goals or getting more of the footy, but he has hardly regressed from last season.

When a youngster is thrust into the position of being an AFL side's number one forward, it's going to come with its difficulty.

I'm extremely confident that Moore will come good in due course and begin playing quality footy. The kid is just too damn talented not to.

Will kick 4+ on Anzac Day
I was about to post 3 goals but am happy to defer to your judgement.
I disagree with you guys, it's not gonna just turn around for him in one game. It also won't be easy for him against Hurley. If he can break the dozen possession mark, and pluck half a dozen marks in the attacking 70-80 metres with a goal, I'll be happy.

Did Carey suggest the same rubbish when Jeremy Cameron, Joe Daniher or Jesse Hogan (or even Tommy Lynch) had a lean trot?
WHY does it not surprise me that Carey and Matty Lloyd jump on the Magpie youngster and leave all the others alone???

Darcy will be fine, to me in his stage of development he is chf where he can use his athletic ability more, than a stay home ff

Stay Home FF for Moore is a Stupid Idea. He is not Big Enough yet to do that

Jeremy Cameron was different actually, they played with no one in the forwardline and let Jeremy get easy one out the back.

You can't put much stock in statistics after just 4 games so I wont read to much into them but in year 3 I'd like to think that come the end of the season he still wont be regard as "hardly regressed".

It's not exactly a positive.

Of the statistics you've provided you would hope his disposal count average would improve as it's still stuck at 9.

One of my biggest criticisms of Moore this year is that he's not working hard enough to apply pressure at ground level once his opponent has nullified the contest.

He has no control of what other KPP shows up in our forward line to take some focus off him but he can control his own intensity for the contest and this has been lacking IMO.

It's fair to say I'd love some more goals as well because at this rate he's heading for a 4 goal 16 game season.;)

Oh no don't tell me Bucks has ruined him already.:'(

I agree, certainly not playing at present with the same passion and intensity as last year.

Not sure why, perhaps he's missing Cloke, perhaps confidence is low, perhaps he's just in a form slump or perhaps he's got a little ahead of himself and isn't working as hard as he could.

Most likely all of the above.

I thought his points made sense.

Reid at CHF Moore CHB and perhaps shifting them back and forth and experimenting sounds good.

At the moment we need a goal kicking CHF who can mark more than we need a KPD. Reid I think should do quite well.

Many people seem to think he was about to unleash himself on the game and dominate the competition this year and perhaps we were desperate for it with the demise and eventual disappearance of Cloke.

However, Moore is still very young and is very much still a learning and developing young man with good pedigree and enormous talent.

We are putting too much pressure on him at the moment and few others are stepping up to give him a chop out.

I have no doubt he will become a fine player and only ridiculous stresses, pressures and unrealistic expectations could harm that.
