Not as bad as made out imo.

If you look past the Herald Sun stats and into the advanced stats he has virtually the same kicking and decision making execution/damagw profile as Shai Bolton.

I’d say the average footy fan to the ey test, would describe Bolton as extremely damaging.

When you combine the ball carrying, goal kicking and overhead. Similar to Bolton, you take the good with the bad as a total package.

He’s certainly no Gulden, Freijah or Heeney when it comes to his kicking, but he has other strengths and even a minor improvement would see a big uplift with on his total game.

He hoped to get to North and almost did, certainly we had him lined up with our next pick so with the family links and that he has come into his first contract year without a contract gives it some credibility, if we're also going to look at guys like Zane Duursma and Riley Sanders being potentially gettable at the moment. I hear talks were had during the trade period last season.

Can't buy any narrative though that says the Saints are going to start losing guys because of their spree last season, they tell us there is more to come so imagine they are waiting to see what a Wilson contract will come to financially with a few more games under his belt. Like the two guys mentioned above however, an interesting watch if we get to the halfway point and no more is known.

Really. He’s consistently been spoken about by Saints fans over the past few years as a key part of your new drafting success and youth.

He has nice physical attributes but has no footy nous and skills are either good or horrific.

His bad kicking aside hes showed some real promise. At least the late 1st he was drafted with i think would be fair but i can see st kilda trying to push for more.

Considering you traded a first round pick to get Whitlock, I would go with a first and second. Saints get pick 2 and 19 for Wilson.

The real question would be, does he want to spend the next 5 years playing in a bottom 3 team.

Nowhere does it mention that hes out of favour with Ross, it did mention that Wilson wasnt happy with RTB's langauage when he went back to the VFL.

This also happen to Mattaes Phillipou in his 2nd year, does that mean Mattaes is out of favour w8th RTB as well?
