Nowhere does it mention that hes out of favour with Ross, it did mention that Wilson wasnt happy with RTB's langauage when he went back to the VFL.

This also happen to Mattaes Phillipou in his 2nd year, does that mean Mattaes is out of favour w8th RTB as well?
Make of it what you will, the big difference of course is Philippou has put pen to paper already, clearly Darcy Wilson has not.

What type of player is he? Is he any good or just struggling to get a gig in a middle of the road side?

Statistically he’s most similar to Shai Bolton in terms of his impact per disposal, kicking inefficiency, score assists and scoreboard impact. Stylistically, not as much.

I'd give up a mid teens first rounder for him. But I'd expect Saints fan would want alot more.
I think that would probably be about right, the problem is he is getting better each week so by the end of the year, it could be a early teens pick.

Its almost a replica trade to Judd Mcvee who went for pick 23 last year. Stats are very similar, albeit Wilson playing more outside and Mcvee has spent some time as a lockdown.

Wouldn't get a pick in the teens. 25 feels about right

Unless he is going to west coast or Richmond. He is going for an early first rounder.

He will be 21 in August just played his first genuine game as a centre square mid and had 24 disposals 2.1.

He will be getting offers north of 900k because clubs can see what Saints fans can see with him.

Skys the limit.

He's out of contract, you will take what is best offered if he wants to leave. Saints hold no leverage whatsoever. If he stays in form the whole year you may get more but he's out of contract so best of luck.

He isn’t a restricted free agent.

He must be traded.

Try again.

Early 1st? Good solid player but you won't get that for him out of contract unless he has a huge end to the season.

He won’t be going for whatever unders you blokes are proposing.

We didn’t trade Wilkie and Ross went on TV and said we wouldn’t have traded Nas last year to port as they had nothing we wanted.

Oh so he's contracted then?
Nas was in the same situation 12 months ago chief.

Unless he is going to the club who finish last. There isn’t a threat.

So clubs will trade to our asking price.

(He also isn’t smith coming off a knee with a bunch of off field issues)

is this a serious post? Teams get bent over on uncontracted players every year. Look at Bailey Smith, Josh Dunkley, Jordan Dawson etc.

😂 The reason Nas didnt get traded is because he resigned, not because port had "nothing you wanted". If push came to shove and he wanted out, you would have had to take whatever you could get.

Try again? If a club offers the saints a late first round pick for an uncontracted player, and that's the best offer they can get, they will take that offer.

None of those trades also had the benefit of trading 3 years of draft picks - which drastically changes the landscape.

As I said, we have a recent track record of telling agents and clubs how it will be.

He also isn’t a free agent. So unless he wants to go to Richmond. It just won’t happen.

😂

And yet Ross publicly refuted that very claim.

Just like he said he wouldn’t trade Wilkie or Marshall (public trade request and adamant on last day he wanted the move) and neither happened.

We can talk bigfooty hypotheticals or we can look at facts as to how the saints have already dealt with clubs coming for players.

You cant tell anyone how an uncontracted player will be. That's not how the world works.

And a 21 years old uncontracted Victorian player is how likely to get to a top 4 Victorian club when it’s highly likely that 4 of the bottom 6 sides will be victorian sides?

Pretty sure I remember you proclaiming how Marshall was going to get to Geelong and how you wouldn’t improve your trade offer.

You were wrong then and you’ll be wrong now aswell.

Marshall and Wilkie were both contracted at the time so the saints held leverage.
Do you actually know how contracts work?

And how's Marshall going for you anyway?? Geez, lucky you didn't pull the trigger on that trade!!!

I’m well aware how it works. You are seemingly confusing the difference in leverage between Out of contract and a free agent.

Because a vic player isn’t just going to roll through the PSD when clubs like Richmond or Carlton are desperate for the skillset.

And a club whose coach has been on record about how it will conduct its trade business.

And how's Marshall going for you anyway?? Geez, lucky you didn't pull the trigger on that trade!!!
Was pretty good last week. No?
