Daredevil - Born Again - Episode 7

Still top notch my only complaint is how nobody connects the 2

He defends a girl who just spoke to him and his GF is a victim and he speaks the same way as Daredevil as he does to them as Matt Murdock - half his face is uncovered and his 8 day growth is clearly visible - a blind man could put 2 and 2 toget - oh

Just watched the first episode of Born Again after spending basically the year rewatching the Netflix Daredevil & Punisher series.

Can't believe they did my guy like that in the first scene.

But was even more shook when they closed out with the Staring at the Sun needledrop, probably my favourite music cue from a series in years.

No idea how this season will shake out, will check back in when I do, but goddamn they got me.

That was some finale.

All that gore and swearing too. Credit to Disney+, it was worth it to rewrite and reshoot it and this is the kind of gritty Daredevil the fans want, if anything more adult than what Netflix gave us.

As a big fan of Daredevil Netflix, this lived it up to it, and then some. A handful of somewhat more mediocre episodes but outweighed by the great ones. Pacing is a bit off, wish a couple of side characters got more development so viewers actually could care about them, but overall a fine addition to the collection.

wow, what a final ep.. the head scene was straight from Game of thrones.
looks like theyve taken reference the current political situaion in the US.
I felt the whole series highlighted the current political system

The ideology of cutting through the BS to get things done ie building permits , law enforcement and general bulldozing

Though they led the way on the law enforcement because ICE wasnt that strong at the time of filming - so kudos to the writers

thought these two shots at the end, bare a resemblance to a young, and current looking Trump.

I've just started watching the first season of Daredevil.

The "Marvel Universe" has never been on my radar, but it's kind of got me in

However, by episode 5 I'm a bit over Matt just going out and punching the lights out of (admittedly very deserving) Russian henchmen. In each ep so far, he's ventured out in his mask, sprung himself on some unsuspecting hoodlums, leaving them and himself battered and sore, but all ready to fight another day. Rinse and repeat.

Does he get a bit more medieval at some stage?

Or does the entire series continues on with this premise that he prevents crime in the moment, but doesn't or won't actually terminate any of the bad guys.

Also, I assume at some stage the origins of his superpower of hearing/feeling are properly explained? We're still just guessing halfway through S1. The plot armour has been laid on extremely thick so far.

There's clearly some big fans of the show in here - sell it to me please. You don't need to include any spoilers, just give me an idea of why it's worth persisting with. Is it smart?

I have just started a re-watch after finishing born again. I watched ep 6 last night which I remembered as a stand out ep from season 1 and still holds up for me.

All I will say to you is that if you dont like that ep maybe this show just isnt for you.

Also his not killing due to being catholic is explored in early parts of season 2 due to another character that comes into play.

It also rolls on through Reborn

Also its been confirmed that just before Matt says he needs an army in the finale the actual spider-man theme is playing.

I very much doubt Spider-man appears in the show but hopefully Charlie does appear in the upcoming Spider-man film which is said to be a more street level film. Charlie's Daredevil deserves to be on the big screen at least once.
