Punished season could only work if he narrates, ala old Macgyver, Magnum PI, Burn Notice... Know there's more I'm forgetting.

Not back until 2018! Same with Jessica Jones. That's just ridiculous.

I liked Jessica Jones, the noir style, the flashbacks, the supporting cast, was all very well done and reminded me a bit of True Blood's Season 1, which had similar strengths. However there was some in your face feminism which made me uncomfortable. Trish Walker's boyfriend being treated like a himbo, the fact that every white male in the series was evil or stupid. The lesbian love triangle. It was all a bit much. The only character I could relate to was Jessica herself, she was powered up but she had problems and flaws and was just trying to survive I guess. Although even she treated Cage like a piece of meat initially. I also didn't like Cage for some reason; he was a hedonist and too aggressive at times towards weaker characters.

Just finished S2. I enjoy the show overall, but I've realised that I don't really like/care about any of the "good guys".

Fisk is easily the best part of the show IMO.

Matt became a dick in season two, very unlikeable. I hope it was intentional because otherwise, ignorant writing.

About time. It's easily the best of the Netflix Marvel series. The wait for season 3 has been longer than the wait for the final season of game of thrones.

Still the best even if Season 2 was a bit weaker. The standard set by Season 1 may never be matched.

Haven't finished Iron Fist S2 but it's looking a lot better than S1 overall, so my current rankings of Marvel Netflix series is...

DD(S1) > JJ (S1) > Defenders > Punisher > LC (first half of S1) > DD (S2) > JJ (S2) > LC (S2) > IF (S1) > LC (second half of S1)

The gap between the series from DD S1 to LC S2 isn't that big, though.

Also realised there has been a shitload of them. Should end each one after Season 3.

Ive started working through season 1 . A cricket teammate of mine from a while back is in season 3 as Ray Nadeem so figured I should check it out

Great so far

HOw many series is that this year, four? JJ 2, Cage 2, Fist 2 and now this. Punisher as well? That's too many in one year.

I am up for this though, the tail end of season 2 was pretty average but I'm hoping they are done with the Hand. Time to move on.

Almost finished S2, enjoying it, but I find with a lot of these shows that push the 1 hour mark per episode regularly that it becomes pretty hard to get through some episodes. Always wonder if having more episodes (say 18-20) but reducing them to 30 minutes would actually make them more watchable. Afterall it's Netflix, so the number of episodes doesn't hugely matter.

That being said I sometimes stop halfway through an ep so it has the same effect.

I'd go the other way - let some eps run a bit longer if they need to but only have 8, 10 absolute max.

Still slogging through season 2 of LukeCage, nearly finished, but my god - there is no way on earth that it needs to be 13 episodes. All the Marvel TV shows could do with a tighten up IMO but this was next level, treading water in literally 5 or 6 eps I reckon.

I agree there needs to be a tightening up; I mostly enjoyed Cage season 2 but every episode seemed to be between 55 and 60 mins and it dragged. If they are going with 13 eps, should probably be 45 mins max. If 10 eps, then maybe 50 is justified.

I love how breezy Preacher is at 45 mins each.

Definitely some shows feel very short even at 45-50 minutes, but yeah some tightening up is in order.

Add TV is 45 minutes. Netflix stretch that out to 55, but at 13 episodes, it's too much and one of them has to give, either episodes or length. Only the occasional episode should run longer.

Agreed. Some fight scenes seemed to drag a lot and could have been a few minutes shorter.

I said it before in this thread, but I've never gotten so bored of ninjas fighting until season 2. It feels like they just threw them in to stretch out another five minutes.
