I've never heard Primal Scream.I assume they aren't Dark Ambient?

I dunno I quite liked it... More than Geisterfaust at least.

A few tracks in the middle of Dolores, mainly Unkerich, Still Am Tresen really grab my attention.

Yeah a few good tracks in there, but way too hit and miss for me when compared to either Black Earth or Sunset Mission.

Trist is dark ambient mixed with black metal.There is a short excerpt from 'Hin',but the real track is an hour long.I can't even describe how good it is.It is long ambient parts with a real astronaut (can't remember which) talking over the ambient music about the universe and time,then kicks into some trance style melodic black metal,then back and forth.For me,it is genius.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention earlier that this was really ****ing good. Thanks for the reccomendation. Love those Coldworld/Darkspace clips as well.

I'm glad i could finally put someone who appreciates it onto Trist - Hin.I've been trying for a while,but it is too out there for most.Really amazing stuff though.

Some Void Of Silence for those interested in dark ambient mixed with doom.The singer from Primordial is the frontman for Void Of Silence,although VOS are Italian (Primoridal are Irish).

Dark Ambient is self descriptive...it is dark,ambient soundscapes mostly.It is only dark,black prog metal if it is mixed with dark black prog metal,as is the case with Trist,Darkspace and Void Of Silence.Or it could be described simply as ambient,but with darker,more brooding themes.A good example of just straightup ambient is Biosphere:

Actually that is quite dark,for Biosphere.Most of his stuff is lighter and more uplifting,and some of it is trance.But you get the idea.

You must have missed the shenanigans last night

We Immortalized the Led Zep thread,it lasted for about 10 pages but then today got deleted.It was a classic man,funniest thread ever.

Yeah it was gold.I'm not convinced there was a case for complete deletion,there wasn't really any abuse except from the other side,and i think one of our guys got yellow carded,but he's fairly new.Led Zep still got mentions,so it wasn't a hardcore threadjacking and certainly wasn't organised.It was just a real funny thread that happened on the spur of the moment.My opinion is at worst it should have been locked out,and individual post deletions/infractions given out if need be,although like i said,there wasn't really any overt abuse flying around.Prior to Immortalization,the thread was virtually dead anyway,with some banal gibberish back and forth between a couple of posters.

I mean if it was called a generic name,like 'blah blah music' instead of being named after a specific band,i'm sure there would have been no grounds to delete it at all.It kind of makes me wary now,just how serious are we supposed to be on this particular board?This is probably the least confrontational board on BF,evidenced by the fact the mods hardly ever have any work to do on here.
