i disagree. he gets alot of cheap kicks. ;)
topa's just so athelic he's 6 foot 1, he can ruck, provide an option up forward and can hold down a KP as well as being able to burn any oppenent off down the wing.
 
He is an ok player in an average team. No where near VFL material. Looks like darnum going to lose all there young guys again, this guy, weller maybe, bergles will get offered cash.
 
Darno's need 3 things to be successful.

1. Recruit key position players right up the middle as there is no one that can dominate a game currently in any of those positions apart from bergels at full forward. Get some bulk into the side. Players the calibre of Smith from catani would be nice.

2. retain current list making sure that cann, chandler, olney, martin, price, youngman are staying for the next 2-3 years.

3. Offer the younger players with some talent coming through a little it more coin to keep them there for the next 5-10 years like bergels, o'hara, weller, toporowski, jensen, hughes.

Without all this happening the club will have similar years to the last 2.

hey plugger i am finally writing something.

loves kicking goals is just about spot on, give us some height and quality players at height and we may just get over the line in some of our close games, which in the end is the difference between second last and finals for us.

6 players and we should play finals.
2 key defenders
another onballer, who likes the hard stuff and dishes it out, similar to wade (nng)
CHF who can take contested grabs consistently
FF who is capable of giving bergels a sidekick (60 goals minimum)
And a ruckman who is capable of going with the likes of smith and robinson. Surely the 2 best in the comp.

Don't want much really but even with the above the improvemnet must come from within the playing ranks. And that comes down to wanting it badly and working towards it.

actually yes. yes i have went for a jog last night need to get in touch with sinky and see if he'll make me a programe to follow.

Thats another 50k a season, how much are milma prepared to spend?

Leave Bergles one out in the goal square, ya dont need a FF. He is good enough to kick a ton. Ruckman are not as important as everyone says if ya got a good midfield. Nyora won 2 flags with 2 local ruckman who were no bigger than 6'0. If cann is so good leave him in the guts, for the money he is getting he should not be standing on the back flank getting cheap kicks. You could make the finals with a CHB and a CHF and hopefully get more improvment from the young guys, spending up big will never work in this league anymore, too many good teams with good locals.
 
I agree with the bergels, will kick 100 in a season soon, cann = gun could play anywhere and get a kick. But definately need CHF and CHB. But the ruckman would be the icing on the cake as long as all the players put in the hard yards. The midfield i think is quality, a bit more experience would help out in that area.

As for how much players are on you may be suprised at how much our star players are actually on.

I have heard froma good source what cann and oppenlander were on in 07, it was massive coin. Dont know about others but i reckon you guys still play blokes above what they are worth in this league.

How many clubs in this competition wouldn't win the flag with the addition of those kind of players? Probably only Dusties.

Adding 6 top end mostly key position players is every clubs dream, but rarely a reality.
