He played well at Wodonga, he will play well at Brisbane. Lynch will probably retire at the end of the year. Then we can use the 2 Bradshaw's in the forward line. It would be best to get him in the senior team this year as soon as we can so he can prepare for next year.

Dazza is a great player, and totally needs to be a senior player this season.
Has everyone just realised this??? Dazza was outstanding last season for Mt Gravatt he just didnt appeare on our doorstep.

I think that instead of putting him straight into the starting line up you ease him into it. Elevate him into the seniors, let him play at FF for the Preseason and at the start of the season let Lynchy back and let him get his 250 and everything out of the way. Once the team has settled slowly start to alternate between Lynch and Darren (Darren plays every second or third week). As the season progresses Darren plays more and Lynch less and hopefully by the end of the season Lynch will be ready to retire gracefully and Darren will have had the experience and knowledge to play full time. If we do this slowly and gradually it will be best for both parties.

I also like to say how great it is to see "B1 and B2" on the ground together!! Crowd popularity must run in the family because I know as soon as he had kicked his first goal the crowd certainly got behind him and you guys certainly seem to like him!!! All the best Darren and GO THE BRADSHAW BROTHERS!!:D :D :D

well...... i know that he is a ledge possum.... i was there the day he kicked 14 goals against Mayne i think it was.He is such a nice lad as well. I do believe though that he should play in the ressies.... but that's coz i want him to play with us so we can win too... LOL..... but i agree that he needs to be ready if Lynchy decides to retire at the end of the year.... but.... 2 words... BROWN-E

It is true that we have two spots available on our list. But unless he will play for nothing ($$$) or there's a long term injury I can't see him being added to the list, unless...

A new rule had been introduced for this year only in that

"The AFL has announced changes to its player rules in relation to rookies, allowing clubs to nominate up to two rookie list players to play during the home and away season and finals.

In the past, rookies were only able to play in the pre-season competition and couldn’t play regular season matches unless elevated to the full senior list at the expense of a long-term injured teammate.

AFL Football Operations Manager Andrew Demetriou made the announcement today, saying the Commission had approved the change at its meeting last Friday and alerted clubs ahead of next Tuesday’s Rookie Draft.

The change to the rule will take effect for one year only, with Demetriou saying it is designed to cover the anomaly under the current system where a club with veteran list players has access to more players than those without veterans."

We might be able to get him on after all.

But we still have a salary cap problem. It doesn't matter how good he is or how many rookies we can play or how many spots are left on the list.

The only way Darren Bradshaw can be added to the senior list is if a player is placed onto the long term injury list. As that player wouldn't be getting any match payments and part of his salary could be added to the injury payments, it would open up enough room to elevate a rookie onto the senior list. Once the player on the long term (6+ weeks) injury list was right to play again though, that rookie would have to be put back on to the rookie list until another player was injured long term or the following season when he could be drafted!

he looks promising, but i think u have to give guys like shattock & bolts a go before him. it's only his first year, and its crossroads for these guys. darren has plenty of time .. i think he'll be great for the club though. he seems to play alot tougher than his brother.
