Maybe that has something to do with his attitude at being forced into retirement; if he thought it'd seriously effect his family.

Darren might be grateful that his wife pushed him in the early days or he might have slipped off the Melbourne list without a trace.... I've seen a few guys who have been improved by women who can "improve their decision-making". I've met her and actually found her to be very friendly and personable.
Yes, she's assertive and yes, she does come across as tough on the show, but you have to be in that type of show

But they have been scrupulously fair in their judging of their fellow competitors, unlike the others, and they are very talented.
The work they've been producing is beautiful.

We don't know their personal circumstances but they're certainly working their butts off.
I don't think they deserve to be mocked in this situation.

on the show to make a name for them self's to get more money and get more opportunity's after the show to make big the bucks again
They had there chance for a easy life. Hopefully that young couple get all the opportunity's after the show.

It was well reported he signed a 4 year deal at collingwood worth $400k per year. Not bad money over that period.....on my current wage i would have to work for 30 years to produce that kind of money. Im not going to feel sorry for them for 'only' making $10k in 3 months.
