If you watch this clip at the end bit i sounds like Jollys wife is saying they are in the red with money , looks like daz's wife blew his footy money lol
or they just cry wolf cos they lose.

"the worst contestant ever on the Block"were similar to the words of the Foreman Keith. We all know big Daz is bulding his arse off while a benign tumour is growing in his brain.Maybe that is some cause for his behaviour as I've always found the big fella to be very pleasant. His mini sidekick of a wife,Dee (or whatever) is a bloody snob and a real piece of work. What was he thinking marrying such a bitch?????

Darren hasn't done himself any favours with his performance in the show. He has quite a few detractors regardless of his health as a result.

Must be great in bed. Only explanation I can think of.

Sure has but it's only television brother .Met them a couple of years back just a normal couple ,Darren is a warm and honest guy . We should have renewed his contract and managed him similar to what Geelong did with Brad Ottens .

The Block winners Dea and Darren Jolly face a huge fine and will be required to rebuild the heritage-listed Melbourne home they controversially demolished without a permit.

Last month Fairfax Media revealed the reality-TV pair had knocked down and levelled an early-20th-century home in East Kew after obtaining only a partial demolition permit.

A furious local council is now demanding they rebuild the heritage-listed home's facade as well as instructing council lawyers to take the Jollys to court over a planning permit breach

It takes a long time to grow a fortune, not very long to squander it...

" It is Council’s intention to continue with its prosecution in the Magistrate’s Court for the demolition which took place without a permit."

Stuff it, it's old, just knock it down. Don't they know we were on The Block?

To be honest whilst I'm a fan of the heritage listing of houses... I can see why they knocked that one down....
Same here, in isolation it isn't much, but the council's view around it's heritage seems to be more about maintaining the general streetscape with a lot of similar houses present. Better buildings have been knocked down and facades recreated as part of developments, so aside from not having a permit I can't see the issue.

Didn't the max fine used to be only 10,000 or so? Maybe they changed it, or maybe they've found some loophole and want to scapegoat them because of the public attention.

Yep. Councils can be a pain in the arse with that stuff. That house was a dump.

The max fine is alot more than that. Not sure what it is, but I know it's over 100k in some circumstances... I doubt it would be that for a shitty little weatherboard frontage.

While I agree the council is a pain everyone in property knows the rules. They new what they were in for when they purchased it and said stuff we will knock it down anyway.

He is an arrogant tool who thinks he is a law until himself. Pretty easy to see why he had the nickname C.O.B at the clubs he played for.

Fortunately we don't live in a society where governing bodies just say we can ignore rules and laws that we don't like. Even if the house is a piece of crap or the speed limit is too low.

People who regularly ignore laws they don't like are often self-serving narcissists, or just plain dickheads.

Oh hey, look... It's the Jollys.
