When did he last play a decent game for his state, let alone tear it apart like the champion he supposedly is?

He fell off tackles repeatedly, got in the way of numerous set plays, threw nothing balls, panicked early in sets and tried far too much and set NSW on their way for their 2nd try by throwing the most disgraceful hospital pass to Tate.

Lockyer = Weak.

He was butter fingers all night.
Thought he spent half the night wiping blood of his 3KZ.

I would have to check the
'Caltex Vortex Try Tracker'
(our newest drinking game)
for confirmation.

Lockyer is a Champion!!! He is the best fullback i have seen in a long long time! He is not a 5/8!
He was put under to much pressure and Thurston went missing for most of the match, his forwards were pathetic at best (Myles had a great game though!)... At Fullback he has time to produce some magic. Atleast he tried, Thurston did :D:D:D:D all game.

i thought he did ok last night when he got in the play. the pass to get Inglis over was a cracker.

But he went missing for big chunks last night and Queensland really missed him. Dropped a bit of ball but theren't many who couldn't claim to that.....

If Mrs Tate would keep her eyes on the ball then she might take those passes.

When was the last time he actually offered something in attack? That in tandem with the fact that he is statistically the weakest defender in the league doesn't help ...

Absurdly overrated player. Completely average performance last night in terms of passing and leadership. And worst of all, for a five-eighth, his kicking is absolutely abysmal. Someone needs to tell the guy that grubber kicks straight into the legs of the opposing players is not a good option. Yet he does it at least half a dozen times a game. So painful to watch.

Just came to this board to see what it's like. Not a good start.

Lockyer is a legend. He had an off game on Wednesday, but he has done so much for Queensland. Push him back to fullback and play Prince at half, Thurston at 5/8. At least Prince might chance the line, instead of passing it to Lockyer at every opportunity.

Thurston has been average in each of the 4 games he has played. Prince was outstanding in 2004. Needs to come back in, and push Bowen to the bench.

I'm with you warwick. Thurston has not excelled as a halfback. It wouldn't surprise me if QLD did the switch next game. But it is a risk and not sure if they'l take it. Totally dissagree with Lockyer being a sht kicker. His kicking game is second to none. Thought is was thurston who kept kicking it into peoples legs. Pressure from the defence would have had something to do withit.
