"Three-time Lakeside Champion Glen Durrant, who recently won his PDC Tour Card at his first attempt, will make an appearance in Glasgow."

Have a look at the rise of Darts compared to Snooker since the inception of the Professional Darts Corporation and the separate and more prestigious PDC World Championship.

Unlike darts, it does not look like there is a single table on Wikipedia that lists the prizemoney over the years for the World Snooker Championship.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_world_snooker_champions
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDC_World_Darts_Championship#List_of_finals

Total Prizemoney for Darts relative to Snooker: 1995 - 4.86%; 2019 - 112.06%
Champion Prizemoney for Darts relative to Snooker: 1995 - 6.32%; 2019 - 100.00%
Runner-up Prizemoney for Darts relative to Snooker: 1995 - 5.22%; 2019 - 100.00%

First time £100,000+ total prizemoney offered: Snooker 1982; Darts 1999
First time £500,000+ total prizemoney offered: Snooker 1989; Darts 2006
First time £1,000,000+ total prizemoney offered: Snooker 1993; Darts 2010
First time £2,000,000+ total prizemoney offered: Snooker 2019; Darts 2019

The green shading indicates which event paid more in a particular category. You can see that Darts has caught up from a LONG way behind.

correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the girls used to walk off then down the stairs holding hands?

but a while ago they stopped doing that.

What's going on with Michael Van Gerwen? He can't beat an egg at the moment.
Two possibilities
1- I think he now has two young kids which would affect his practice time
2- the quality of players and play is exceptional compared to when Taylor was throwing.

Congrats to Heta winning the Brisbane masters. Highlight his two 164 checkouts
