REmind me never to get a job doing this menial, soul-sapping task.

Dad gets home at 9, asks me if I'll do this data entry stuff for him, with the promise of 50 bucks in it for me. So I agree, deciding to start there and then, doing half tonght and half tomorrow.

I just finished tonight's half...

Ive did a bit of data entry work last week.

It's about as good as tomato picking.

Heh, that's what my last job was and all things considered, Data Entry is where a lot of my future employment may lie.

I don't mind it myself, mainly because I taught myself to touch-type and I really work at improving my typing skills at every conceivable opportunity.

Can't believe all the time i wasted over the years spending countless hours using two fingers to type up 3000 word essays; after you've learnt how to touch-type typing with the old two fingers style feels like walking on your hands.

had to do the same for my mum a few weeks ago. Had to type out about 10 pages worth of housing price lists and categorise everything into the correct sub headings. After 3 hours of trying to work out how to do a frikken tab it only took about 2 whole days to type up the rest

Did 3 straight days data entry once temping at Bonlac Foods in South Melbourne. All I could smell was cheese. Cheeeeeeese for three days while inputting vast lists of numbers into an Excel spreadsheet. I was just about cross-eyed by the end of it. I don't mind alpha, even alpha numeric but straight numbers do my head in.
