I have only seen Davenport once and was extremely impressed with his ability to run and carry. He runs like an athlete and doesn't seem to fear much.
Good luck to the kid.

Re Grima.

We are still required to delist three more players on top of the 4 players we traded away for picks. In total that leaves 7 free spots on the list.

4 draft picks + 3 rookie elevations (Davenport, Lonergan, Grima???).

Surely the club won't see pick 82 in this draft as being better than Grima...

I did not think you had to delist 3 players only that you had to take three picks in the draft however you managed that is up to the club but it is mostly accomplished by delisting players.

If that were true Geelong have got rid of 4 players but promoted 2 with a possible third left to go.

They have said they are planning on taking 4 in the draft which would mean a minimum of 2 more to be delisted possibly 3.

No, we're not. If that were the case, do you think we would have traded King and Gardiner for pick 90?? Would have been stupid in the extreme, because while it might have made their lives a bit easier it would have ended the careers of two other players on our list.

We only need to free up enough spots on our list to have three picks in the draft, and we have done that already, so the only further delistings are likely to be to accommodate rookie promotions.

With the promotion of Davenport and Lonergan we have only created 2 spots on the list.Need 1 more delisting.
Wells has been quoted as we will be having 4 picks which would mean 2 more delistings.
If we were to allivate Grima (unlikely ) then it would be 3 more delisting.. etc..

We will do the following to our senior list.

Outs: S Hunt, Spencer, Owen

Ins: Davenport, Grima, Lonergan, (our 4 draft picks)

We will then rookie Owen (only because he wont be playing for the whole year.) We will get rid of Reynolds because he cant be re-rookied. Bedford will be retained

So our rookie list will have:

Milburn (veterans), Owen, Bedford and 2 new guys.

Its looking good

I don't know if this can be done. I have some doubts as to wether you can delist injured rookies. I hope someone can positively confirm that and not just add an opinion. But I certainly think that Spencer's time is up. And SHunt is an OK VFL player but I sincerley doubt that he will ever be up to AFL standard.

Owen is on the Senior list, what is being suggested is that he be delisted and then picked up as a rookie next year ala Lonergan.
I think that both Spencer and S.Hunt are certain delistings. This would allow us to draft 4 players.

What about the scholarship players that were picked up earlier in the season? (I think there were 2 of them)

How are they taken into account?
Neither of them are eligible for this years draft. Apparently if you want them they can be added to your senior or rookie list with last available pick.
