Has Davey been reported/suspended in his career with Melbourne? Just wondering because he's likey to be put up this week for his bump from behind on the Port player who marked the ball.

Dont quote me on it but i think in his early stages he was asked to front the tribunal on a tripping charge that had nothing in it and was let off convincingly.

He will get a week i reckon .. the bloke took the mark and the replay shows him intentionally shape up to the players back.Given melbournes situation at the moment i really wish he thought twice about it.

It was crude, with the points system, he will be found guilty, maybe with good record early plea might not miss a week.

If he does get a week, they might argue is was a strike not a charge and he should get off with a lesser penalty. Just like Goodes did, what a joke that was!

Can't imagine why he did it. With his body size he was never going to do any damage. The bloke hardly blinked when Davey cannoned into him. This will actually help Davey at the tribunal but he'll definitely be put up. With his good record and a guilty plea I reckon the deduction in points will allow him to play against the dogs.

You're right there, it was in a game against St.Kilda I believe that those reprimands came in.
Silly by Flash, hopefully he gets off with an early guilty plea, though if Goodes and Burgoyne get off, Flash should get off.

Come on guys, as if that will get passed the match review pannel, it was late but not rediculously and it should not be a reprimand, a 50m penalty is the right decision.

It was plain stupid by Davey. He has done a few late things this year. None of them have been tough, nor have they hurt the opposition player. They just make him look like a weak sniper.

he will go for it, no need for it at all and he already has points hanging over. I think Sylvia may be in trouble for his hit on cornes, even though it was weak as, trust the week that the papers complain about the softness of the tribunal that 3 of our blokes (pickett) are possibly going to front it. Pickett always tackles like that, many tackles that pin arms happen from game to game, he wanted to make him earn it, but it was completely fair, sylvia shouldn't be cited either, but who knows these days?

I realise I have a vested interest on this one but.....how late he was is irrelevant. He had no business doing what was essentially a shoulder charge from behind on the bloke going for a mark. Admittedly he did no damage so why the hell did he do it? Just plain dumb.

I agree it was stupid etc, but what do you mean how late it was has no relevance?

He jumped after our player took the mark and had nearly hit the ground before Davey hit him.
