The lyrics to Lazarus off his last album are haunting knowing what we now know.

Look up here, I’m in heaven

I’ve got scars that can’t be seen

I’ve got drama, can’t be stolen

Everybody knows me now

Look up here, man, I’m in danger

I’ve got nothing left to lose

I’m so high it makes my brain whirl

Dropped my cell phone down below

Ain’t that just like me

A true musical genius, one I didn't appreciate until I was a touch older although I loved Labyrinth as a kid.

Just listened to Under Pressure with a tear in the eye.

RIP David Bowie.

An Innovator
An Entertainer
A Music and Creative Legend

Your creative genius was as rare as your Heterochromia.

You have shaped and influenced the music and entertainment world for the last 50 years.

"There is a starman waiting in the sky."

You are going to be sadly missed.

Sad Day.

My 6 year old son lives 3 hours away from me. When I pick him up I usually have my music playing off my iphone and he loves Bowie's songs. We sing starman and hero's together every trip. Just proves how good his music really was and how it spans across generations.

I don't have many musical heroes in my life but he was one. My wife told me died when I got home from work and I froze, I couldn't believe it, I'm gutted.

I'm so glad I saw him live at the tennis centre 12 years ago, the thing that struck me at that gig was how many people of different ages where there, his music was always experimental and varied yet at the same time it was timeless.

RIP David

I've just given my 10 week old son a schooling in Bowie.

I've no doubt we'll sing Bowie together in the future.

Very sad news..

Looking at his last music videos, at least he seemed to keep his spirits up and actually looked relaxed and calm in his illness, if that's possible to do. He's dancing away in that Lazarus video...

Yeah.............What do you say?
Not enough can be said for someone that left a true mark on the music industry.

Absolutely bowled me over with Low. I didn't expect that when it came out but I'm so glad I gave it the time.
So many wonderful experiences via a most wonderful album. Much appreciated.
