I read with interest in the HS today that cameron is training with the blues. Good luck to him. In the same article it mentions Jason has not been invited by anyone. David is quote as saying "he is pretty p!ssed off with the collingwood coaching staff etc etc"

Reagrdless of what you think of the way Jason was treated I don't think this is a smart thing to say before the draft. I know its been said before but I am not sure David is doing his boys any favours by airing his dirty laundry in public.

David and quite a few in this board think jason has been harshly treated but judgin by the fact he has not been invited to train anywhere it seems there might be 15 other clubs that agree with the collingwood coaching staff.

what kind of effect would this have on travis???the only one left...and his dad continues to run his fat mouth at his son's coaches and club...i wonder how long it will take until one of all of his 'kids' tell him where to go and hire the services of a real manager who might have a bit of a better reputation with...well anyone...cameron is useless...jason however is a player that was not treated well by mm and would surely have been picked up by another club...i always admired him...espeically in 2002-03...good luck to you jc

IIRC, Cameron has not been training with the Blues, in fact, hasn't he been training with Jason down at Willy?

I heard that Carlton had "a secret" training session for CC last week, but I haven't heard anything more of that.

Will make next Tuesday quite interesting.

JCloke may be the worlds hardest and most disciplined trainer but when your simply not good enough you need to check your emotional ties at the door and be realistic. There is no doubt thats easier said then done but it certainly would show a lil more dignity then has been displayed.
Even the whole TCloke lead up and speculation to which club was gonna pick him up etc etc smacked of amteur hour.When he walked into JCloke tribunal in the incident with Edwards he looked like a nightclub bouncer.

Your spot on. I am not trying to pot jason for resenting the way he was treated. I am of personal opinion that jason does not quite have the talent for modern day footy and has probably got more out of himself the most would of through hard work and determination. Lets face it how many slow blokes who have average skills are still on a list. I can't think of any. The fact is if you are trying to get picked up by another club its probably best to keep quiet until atleast after the draft. At every club there are plenty of stories about guys who think they have not had a fair go and it is a perfectly normal feeling to have when you are not getting a game or being axed. Does not mean you should sook to the press about it. A club could be 50/50 about drafting jason and this could sway them to be 49/51. The little things can count.

by jason cloke not being invited by any other club shows that he adds no value to collingwood or any other AFL side. Good decision by the pies
Cameron might get picked up if he's lucky, but will only have a 1 year contract which will be his last

As I've said around here a fair bit, I rate Jason higher than Cameron and feel he could have fitted a more defined role in our backline. I guess MM felt that he'd given Jason enough chances, I would disagree on face value.

It's another reason I feel him being their manager was a bad move, someone that wasn't related would have been a better move.

Either way the parents shouldn't be able to do the deals for their kids as far as club selection and contracts, as they have a very biased view on them.
