it is hypothetical that there will be serious long term effects. And given there are other drugs of a similar nature that are fine- unlikely
Thalidomide was supposedly "fine".
Lipitor was supposedly "fine".
These and many other drugs have been approved for therapeutic use but major problems emerged despite proper trials, your claim that any risk is unlikely or hypothetical is a load of clap trap.
