David Evans along with James Hird needs to take FULL responsibility for Essendon players facing suspensions for taking the banned drug AOD-9604.

As Chairman and Senior Coach, they were extensively briefed on AOD by the drug rightsholder David Kenley. Kenley has stated they asked many detailed questions. He has also stated he was staggered when he heard Essendon players were being injected with AOD because it is clearly not approved for human use.

That this drug was allowed to be used on Essendon players overseen by Stephan Dank, surely leaves Evans and Hird untenable in the AFL's eyes.

Evans has long tentacles(yes i said tentacles Mr Dyer) in AFL and wider Melbourne circles and he has people in important positions shielding him from responsibility for this whole intentional program.

But ultimately the buck has no where else to stop but Evans and Hird, who hired Robinson and Dank for a purpose, informed themselves on AOD-9604, and then allowed its use on EFC players.

These players are now staring straight down the barrel at 2 years .

So a football club us under investigation by the Australian crime Commision and then it's president is allowed to get on the board of Victoria police.

FFS...... If you are going to spout shit at least make it half accurate:

1) The ACC investigation WAS into organized crime, but the sporting clubs were not implied to be involved in that side of things. The two connections were organized crime was alleged to be sourcing the materials that were then distributed by rejuv clinics WHO THEN sold to players, and the allegation that some players were being blackmailed - not clubs, players.

2) What is wrong with a stock broker being on the police board? Ever thought in a world of growing white collar crime having someone with a background in this area and the importance of it (in terms of understanding police resourcing and priorities) would be helpful? Its always good to have a board made up of people with different perspectives, otherwise you get a lot of group think happening. You are also disregarding the experiences he has outside of work which may be of interest to the board.

3) ASADA does not have the power to imprison people for lying. They don't even have the power to force someone to testify to them. The nearest you could get to this is if someone provided a stat dec, lied, and the cops could be bothered prosecuting (which they usually cannot).

4) The police are not investigating EFC, so how is him being on the police board going to influence an investigation that doesn't exist?
