Where is the confirmation of Evans standing down due to ill health? I know there's been speculation - there's been speculation about a lot of things though

Trust me, I don't think any Essendon supporter is happy that we have been put in this position. But seriously, let's just wait and see what really went on before we start hanging people. Newspaper articles and speculation of what might have happened do not count as facts.

The truth? All they care about is selling papers. They don't care whether they have to sensationalize stories in order to achieve that objective. They don't care that what they write has consequences on completely innocent people.

If journos had only been writing the truth, we wouldn't be seeing legal action taken against them (which one particular journo looks like having taken against him already).

Oh Essendon are guilty of the worst crimes ? I don't realise the ASADA report was out already and sanctions are being handed out. Get real and stop trolling.

The majority of peoples weeks are spent at work to earn money, this man one of many officials that represent EFC gives up his time to be the chairman of the board and be one of the public faces. He doesn't deserver all this garbage the media have been pushing. You have got your pound of flesh and now take a hike son.

It appears that the ones you hate the most, such as Patrick Smith, and Caro, and of course the highly regarded McKenzie and Baker, have been pretty bang on throughout this.

Exactly, I mean if Evans, Hird and EFC were so confident that they had done nothing worng, then they would wait it out, and when they get cleared, take legal action against all those media personalities that smeared their names for no good reason.

BUT we have not seen one single legal action initiated by EFC, instead we have seen resgnations and sacking, etc. Why would your health suffer if you believed 100% that you had done nothing wrong? In fact, you would soak everything up and wait for you to be cleared and then ream everyone that accused you. But I guess EFC cannot do that as they know they are f.....d.

When I initially read the Ziggy report, I thought that would be when Essendon fans start to demand the club come clean publicly and admit it's mistakes. It's not just the media that has painted a poor picture of the club in 2012, the Ziggy report is pretty scary.

Yes you have every right to keep faith in Hird & the players, but I'm extremely surprised that questions were not demanded of Evans, the board, Corcoran etc earlier, Hamilton to a lesser extent considering he left the club.

I for one believe we won't see you or most of the other Bomber apologists on BF once the report is tabled.

All the best to Evans, from reports I believe the correct decision has been made, but I can't see why people can't wish him well in his business and personal life. Hopefully his health improves, it's an unfortunate consequence of this saga.

Evans made Robinson sign an agreement stopping him from talking to players or about the club.
So he was covering hird for a full 6 months.
What was he trying to hide ?

As for whately still trying to pretend he's relevant in all this.

So from going to we have nothing to worry about, now all of a sudden they are getting stressed out and need to concentrate on family and other business interest? What a disgraceful club, hope they get shafted nice and hard, destroyed.

Even if ASADA understand the error and adjust the penalties accordingly, ie none, WADA will appeal the decision. AOD 9604 has been banned from jan 11. Its as simple as this and there are other drugs as well.

This is unfair from a view that info was incorrect, but it simply is what WADA will do.
