Going by those symptoms it sounds closer to an Anxiety attack than a Heart attack as some suggested. Normally symptoms of a heart attack is tightness in the chest and the left arm going numb.

But seriously, of course you have a right to feel a little bit angry. I mean, it's hard not to - what, with all the damaging articles in the newspapers, you could be forgiven for thinking Essendon has already been found guilty.

Again I ask: Why didn't Evans (a senior person at the club) ensure that the players health was not compromised with unapproved substances?
I mean, why should anyone feel for Evans when he had the chance to protect the players who trusted him, but failed to do so?

Generally, the sports science department isn't an area that a chairman concerns himself with...

Honestly, if you think that if Evans knew his players were (allegedly) being given banned, non-human approved, potentially dangerous substances that he wouldn't have tried to stop it, or at least ask serious questions, you're deluded. Everyone at the club believed that what they were doing was a-ok and above-board and so there was no need to question any of it. And hey, they still might be proven right in the end.

The players obviously don't seem to care that David Evans put their lives at risk - the response by them to tonight's revelations has been pretty emphatic.

But, you'll just reply "Essendon knew exactly what they were doing, they're cheating scum, DIE" anyway so I don't know why I'm bothering.

Evans' statement

I missed where he actually said why he resigned. If he has nothing to fear from the ASADA report or ACC enquiry why isn't he the man to take Essendon forward?

On the other hand his resignation comes after two huge revelations this week

i) that Evans got a phone call from Demetriou concerning the ACC inquiry the night before Essendon 'self reported' themselves. The content of this phone call is in dispute.

ii) that there was a patent application for AOD-9604 by Metabolic Pharmaceuticals using injury reports on Essendon players as evidence. And that allegedly, before the beginning of the 2012 season, Evans and Hird were addressed as potential investors in the company. Metabolic Pharmaceuticals, who were looking for financial backing from the Essendon president's broking firm, Evans and Partners, in the pharmacological company's bid to have its peptide granted regulatory approval.
