But isn't that just strengthening my argument? Yes, Fraser is comparable to Cox in all aspects of the game other than hitouts, but he's being used as a ruckman. Ruckmen are meant to get hitouts.

It's like (in fact, even worse than) saying someone's a great full-forward but they're 19th in the competition for goals.

fraser would not have those numbers playing as a permanent forward may be more goals but over all the rest will be down

Fraser is a much better ruckman (follower if you don't rate his tap out) than he is a forward.

I just checked pro-stats. Fraser actually averaged more hitouts than Hale and McIntosh. I'd like any of them on my list however, but Fraser IMO his ruckwork is underrated. He is not a dud in terms of tap outs.

Would Fraser have spend a lot more time rucking than either Hale or McKintosch? He is older and a lot more experienced. He rucked at 18 in 2000 and he rucked full time for 2003 in between he was aprt time but always in the seniors and since he's basically been a number 1 ruckman when fit.

Also, Bryan is 197cm. That’s not big for a ruckman. Of course he’s a ruckman that could get a game with possibly the worst list since the death of Fitzroy.

Toommy, we aren’t doomed but it isn’t about not being crap it is about winning premierships and until that is what we measure everything against we wont win them.

just humouring timmy

I wish Bryan all the best with you guys, but he's NOT a good tap ruckman.
He is an avergae tall forward, and handy around the ground type, good mark and booming (if inaccurate) kick, but if he becomes your first ruck due to injury your mids (as did ours) will have to learn to rove the opposition rucks tap.

P.S. Was that team Friday night the youngest ever in avergae age to play an official match? Can't have been far off.
