Wouldn't trade Hille at all, I think that is crazy talk.

Talk to other supporters, they generally have a high opinion of Hille. He certainly can look impressive when he bangs a long goal through (like the one across the body he did on the weekend)...

BUT, it is definitely time to go back to one major ruck. I thought it was crucial a few weeks ago (when I saw how tall we were going into the Adelaide match) ... Our midfield is slow, and a bit fragile without the leadership of an experienced player in there, and the last couple of weeks they have lost the plot or run out of gas well before the game was over...

You have to take the risk and go in with just the one ruckman, in order have an extra small. When I started a thread on this last week, I just didnt have an opinion on whether it should be Hille or Laycock to be dropped...

AND, for some reason, Laycock and Hille deliver their best performances when they know they are responsible for the entire match.

we need a classy midfielder and a key defender much more than another ruckman

hille is a solid ruckman
if laycock gets fit he could be anything
whilst paddy has shown glimpses of greatness in the ruck

Because his the worst ruckmen in the comp

It's true, he is the worst ruckman in the league and if Essendon are fare dinkum they'll cut their losses and delist him, we're never going to be a successful team with him in it! He's played 3 good quarters of football this year and that came against West Coast which now seems a life time ago!

Before that... had he ever played well in the ruck? He got thrashed by a 1st year player in McIntosh and he was serviceable against Adelaide and it was Adelaide's 3rd ruckman as their ruck ranks are depleted! He could be alright up forward but we need a ruckman not a forward!

Laycock shits on Hille and that's no praise of Laycock, they've both been on the list long enough to have shown they can be competitive with other ruckman, we know Hille can't, its now or never for Laycock!

This is all crazy talk. Hille is most cetainly improving. He is fit and as we have seen at his best he is brilliant. Why would we trade him for Seaby. Seaby is Wext Coast's second ruckman and is much worse around the grounds than Hille. I think, like Laycock, Hille needs to improve on his fitness and a full pre-season will no doubt have him firing by next year. He has been shaky of late, but we all know what is capable of and if he works on his fitness then Hille will play brilliant games consecutively.

No need for a trade its the " I cant wait for the new coach attitude hurry up and c u later sheeds mentality" I just think 'only opinion' that a lot of players cant wait for the season to end. Its only proof that they have a communication problem as stated in the media this week, so the message isnt getting through, and they should have departed with Sheeds after the Adelaide game and we probably wouldn't be talking about such issues

Well who else do you suggest? Charman maybe, apart from that ther aint may options!

Actually there are more options than people realize.

Charman is not going anywhere.

IF we look for another ruckman, and i don't believe we need to, then i think we could realistically get Cameron Wood from Brisbane

This kid can really play, and as a back up ruckman to Laycock could be worth a risk.
I have no doubt he will make it, but is still young and maybe not the answer for next year.
