White probably is past his best, but his best was nearly Brownlow Medal winning form. His form now is still very good, and he is one of Melbourne's most important players. Hird and Buckley are probably past their best aswell, does that mean they're crap now.

When Simmonds was at Melbourne he was very much in White's shadow, and was never going to be no. 1 ruckman. He went to Freo and played some high quality seasons there. The stats speak for themself. He lost a bit of form as Sandilands was emerging into a top player, and went to Richmond. He absolutely dominated last year, unlucky not to get AA.

He is by no means a hack.

He seriously was unlucky not to get AA last year. In any other year he would have been a shoe in, but last season Lade and Cox dominated the comp. Simmonds was clearly the next best ruckmen apart fom those 2.

And the point was that Hille was behind him as far as ruckmen go. How many times have your heard Hille getting his name put up for AA selection: NONE! Even though Simmonds mas only had one standout year, it is still one more than Hille has had, which was the original point.

He had good years at Fremantle. Even if he hadn't, one good year means your a good player, and by no means a hack. Last year was his best, but he has shown he is a good player way before that. in 2002 he had a good year, averaging 16.25 touches and 6.35, compared to his 16.4 touches and 6.7 marks last year. In 2004 he kicked 35 goals.

He has had more than one good year, and he is nowhere near a hack. Hille has a way to go to be considered as valuable as Simmonds, but he is definitely getting there.

I reckon he'll get a week.

It wasn't malicious or front on but I still reckon he might get a week.

Mentioned this in another thread, but he has two previous charges.

He won't be able to take a reprimand if he gets cited.
