Apparantley he was ejected from a nightclub at 2AM, drunk, and the police gace him a lift home. He then went from his home in Newtown back to the city and was accused of assault on 2 men and a woman at 4AM.
Anyone else think this could cost him his career, especially considering the timing?

Well that solves one of our problems, Who to delist.!!
Has been poor in the Vfl finals and poor team commitment on the eve of a grand final.

Delist David Johnson.... Man, some of you guys are stupid.

He is a very decent hard working player who has no hesitation in backing into a pack, putting his head over the ball and he rarely turns th ball over by foot or hand.

That is alot more than i can say for a gutless little squib who has no skills and constantly hears footsteps.... oh, and that person has a grandfinal birth this weekend.

I'd have in my best 22. DO NOT DELIST HIM, after all, this is his first mistake at the club, he is extremely well respected and well liked at the club.

It's a poor show, even though he has finished for year.

Wasn't there some sort of committment from the VFL guys that they would hold back until the seniors AFL?

you'd have to say any player who would do that when his club's biggest game in more than a decade is less than 48 hours away must have some problems.

About 10 VFL guys were out last night, maybe more. Fair enough too

I saw Johnno last night and he didn't seem to bad, I guess I couldn't tell though.

It will be interesting to see if the senior GF result has any bearing on it at all. If we lose you can bet they will make an example of him and probably rightly so...if we win...it could all become part of growing up as a successful club and learning to deal with the hype and expectations.

For now IMO...lets just forget it and worry about Saturday. Winning that Cup is all that matters...doesnt excuse anything...just gets it into perspective for the here and now.

Go Cats you have earnt it and deserve it. Take what is rightly yours!
